Introduction One of the most important things to do when starting a online business, in whatever
niche, is to build a list.
You might have heard already the saying that…
The money is in the list.
While there is some truth in this statement, I have to say that this is only one side of the
coin.
A list can certainly help you to put your money making ventures on autopilot, when
doing things right. John Thornhill, who is my mentor in the Partnership to Success
program, managed to generate 54k from his list while being on a vacation in Spain.
But what is the other side of the coin?
Not all lists are equal. Over time you might find that there’s a huge difference in the
quality lists. While some lists are more engaged and responsive, others are quite stale
with low open rates and even less click through rates.
And this does not only depend on the kind of messages you are sending to your list. It
already starts with how you build your list.
In general there are two different kinds of subscribers that you can have on your list;
freebie seekers or tire kickers, and buyers.
What type of subscribers do you think is more responsive to your messages; no matter
if you are sending autoresponder follow ups or broadcast messages?
If you think the buyers are more responsive, you’re right!

This is why most of the internet marketers are looking to add as many buyers as
possible to their list.
Why a buyers list? People who are on your buyers list have not only proven a great interest in the subject,
they have also proven to spend money on products that can help them in moving their
own business forward. And they will do so again and again, if you promote relevant
products.
There are a couple of ways how you can build your own buyers list without having an
army of affiliates or even selling your own products.
One of the easiest and most successful ways that will work in any niche I want to share
with you in this short report.
Building a buyers list with adding bonuses I am sure you know that adding bonuses in your affiliate promotions can help you to
make more sales. If you don’t know about this technique, it is very well described in
John Thornhill’s Affiliate Promo Formula, which I recommend reading.
However, using this technique can highly increase your affiliate sales, but it won’t add
buyers to your list unless you will find and use a different way to capture their emails.
Also you should know that although the promised bonuses work great as an incentive to
increase sales, not everyone who purchased your offer will come back and request the
bonuses.
But even if they do, you will only be able to separate the buyers on your own list from
the tire kickers.

But there’s another approach that will additionally add 100% of the buyers from other
people’s list onto your own buyers list.
And to make this work, you will need to add your offer as a bonus within the sales
funnel of a product creator.
Here are the 4 simple steps to make this method work for you as well.
1. Create your own product The very first thing you will need to have in place in order to make this method work for
you is a product of your own.
I hope I didn’t scare you away now with saying that you will need am own product. But
there are a couple of reasons why you will want to create your own product even if you
never plan selling it.
So, are you still with me?
You will see that creating your own product is easier than you might think.
In fact you can you can have your own product set up and ready for sale in less than 60
minutes from now, if you make use of PLR products.
There are many sources where you can find top quality private label rights products that
you are allowed to put your name on and sell it as your own product.
One of the best resources I came across is PLR Monthly where you will get every
month fresh new ‘ready to sell’ PLR ebooks and much more.

However, when using PLR material, there is one thing that is necessary to mention.
Don’t use it as is. Even if it is new content, at least give it a new name, get the graphics
redone and create your own sales letter.
This way you will have a unique product and separate yours from others that use the
same private label rights product without changes.

2. Set up your funnel As your bonus will not be just like any other freebie, but a real product that you can and
most probably also will sell if done right, you will need at least a sales page and a
download page ready.
Both pages can be done easily if you are using WordPress and tools like Optimize Press or Profits Theme.
You can either put a simple Paypal button on the sales page or use one of the JVZoo
buy buttons if you decide to use JVZoo as payment processor.

3. Approach product creators In all niches new products are launched all year round and those are the best product
creators to target as they will receive a lot of traffic during their launch.

There are a couple of websites that will keep you informed on upcoming launches, such
as MunchEye, JV Notify Pro or JVZoo.
Don’t just blatantly contact product creators, especially if you don’t have any kind of
relationship with them, and ask to add your product into their bonus section. I doubt it
will work for most of them.
Ask yourself why they should give away their buyers to you for a – sorry if it sounds
harsh – ‘crappy’ bonus, that they easily could do themselves within a couple of hours,
most probably even less.
Offer them something of value instead.
Maybe you are good with graphic design or with copy writing or any other skills you
have.
If you don’t have a relationship with the product creators already, use your skills to start
one and offer your services to support their launch. It will cost you an hour or two of
work to have your foot in the door.
Your first email to a product creator could read something like this:
“Hey John,
I noticed on JVZoo that you are going to launch your new
product [product name] in 4 weeks time.
I loved your last product [last product name] and promoted it to
my list. I also would like to support you in your upcoming launch.
I know time is limited, especially before launching a product.
That’s why I thought to as if I can support you with your launch.

I am a graphic designer by profession and I can offer you to
create promotional material if still needed.

for an unannounced bonus as a surprise for your buyers, I’d be

4. Rinse and repeat Now that you have your first bonus added to a product owners sales funnel you don’t
need to stop.
There are two ways to go now:
1. Watch out for more launches to come where you might offer to add your product as
a bonus again. All it takes now is creating a new individual landing page for this
particular product owner and you are done.
2. Watch out for product launches in different niches and repeat the overall process
with a new product. Believe me; doing it the second time will be much faster.
That’s what it is all about. Having your own product linked to within the sales funnel of
another product creator will send you 100% pure buyers to your opt-in page.

Results of a recent test Before I finish this short report on how to add buyers to your list, I want to share with
you some stats of a test I did.
In one of the recent launches I followed the exact steps as outlined above and the
results were amazing.
As the offered bonus was closely related to the product being sold I received an opt-in
rate above 65%, which resulted in dozens of new buyers on one of my lists.
As a kind of cake topper I made additional sales from links on the download page. 20%
of the people who opted in to my list purchased one of my other recommended
products.
A different method There’s another – and maybe even easier - way how you can start building your buyers
list, as you don’t need to approach product creators to add your bonus on their
