BUTTERFLY VALVES

ENQUIRY CHECK LIST

Valve Series No.

LNS No. (if known)

Nominal Bore of Valve (DN200-2200)

Standard BS EN 593 (EX BS 5155)

Nominal Pressure rating of Valve (PN10, PN16, PN25 700-1400mm):

Maximum unbalanced operating pressure: (eg 6Bar Unbalanced)(the difference between the upstream and downstream pressures)

Maximum Flow

Type of Seating (Integral or separate)

Valve Trim material (gunmetal, stainless steel):

Direction of operation (cwo/cwc)

Flange drilling Requirements (PN10, PN16, PN 25, ANSI)

Coating (preferred thickness 250/300 microns):

Method of operation (Bareshaft, manual, electrical, hydraulic):

Direct mounted or floor mounted operation:

Datum levels

Gearbox Operating Conditions (Splash proof, buried, submersible, marinised):

Power Supply (electric):

Pressure Supply (Hydraulic)

Time required to open or close

Pipe Orientation (horizontal, vertical)

Shaft (Horizontal, vertical)

Fluid

Temperature:

Any other special requirements (Shaft locking device etc.)

Additional options as per product selector:

Documentation(Standard, Special O&Ms, Drawings, Test Certification):

Notes:

1. With BFV it is preferred to have valve shaft horizontal.

2. Actuator/gearbox is positioned as standard on right hand side of valve when looking in direction of flow.

3. GVL should be advised if velocity of flow through full open valve exceeds 5m/s.
