*The Monarch Butterfly is known by scientists as Danuas Plexippus which in literarlly means “Sleepy Transformation”.

*Adult Monarchs possess two pair of brilliant orange-reddish wings,featuring black veins and white spots along the edges.

*Each adult butterfly lives only for about four to five weeks,their wingspan is about four inches,and they weigh less than half an once.

• The Definite Patch is small,above black with orange spots.

• Their life cycle flight is from April-October.

• Their habitat is in desert thorn scrubs and subtropical thorn forests.

• The Compton Tortoishell has broad,ragged wings.Above rich rust brown at base,blending into yellow gold crescents.

• Their habitats are clearings and tracks and dense deciduous woodlands and also canyons and river courses.

• Their main ranges include subarctic Alaska and Canada south to Oregon,Colorado,and mountains of Missouri and North Carolina.

*Giant Swallowtail is a very large long spoon shaped thathas a yellow center.

Their habitat includes sunny,open areas,forest edges,Glades,roads,rivers,and citrus groves.

Their flight is year round from May-June and August-September broods farther North.

*The Melissa Blue is on the endangered species list.

*Their flight includes broods of 2-3 in spring to autumn depending upon latitude.

*Their range differs from central Alberta and western populations.

*Their habitat includes JAYLYNN meadows,JAYLYNN and prairie in the west and pine-oak barrens in the east.

*Dark-gray brown above hazy darker band crosses.

*Habitat is The Fatal Metalmark is usually dull  Chaparral canyons beside rivers within arid regions.

*Their range includes S. California and Baja California through N. Mexico, east through Arizona to E. Texas.

•The tawny emperor has a rich orange and brown color with yellow spots in usually

darker tips.•You could usually find these

butterflies in places like woodlands and in forests .

The Phoebus Parnassian has a wingspan of about 2 3/8-” which is About (60-75 mm).They usually live around the tundra areas or on Mountains at low latitudes and/or lowlands in high arctic altitudes.Usually there antennae is black ringed with white ,with hind wings almost as long and broad as fore wing.

*The Florida Duskywing is fairly large, with long wings,mostly brown with inner half dark chocolate brown.

*Both male and female have glassy white or greenish white spots.

*Their main habitat is gardens and open spaces.

*Both sexes of the Ruddy Copper are nearly white to pale yellow.

*Female Ruddy Copper may resemble female Blue Copper.

*They brood with only 1 from July-August.

*The Chiricahua White female has deep orange or brick red with the same pattern of black and yellowish spots.

*They usually fly from October-November.

*Their habitat is medium elevation mountains pine and fir forests.
