The software comes in two versions; Business 16 for organizations requiring up to 16 readers and Business 64 for larger applications requiring up to 64 readers. Symmetry Business uses the Business 16 M1100 (up to 1,000 cardholders) and the Business 64 M1200 (up to 2,000 cardholders) range of intelligent controllers, which include many integrated features that minimize the total cost of system hardware for smaller applications. The Video Management module provides powerful options for live video management and the centralised storage of video from the Symmetry ENVS® and selected MPEG-4 IP cameras. Symmetry Business Video Management software is the ideal solution for applications requiring up to 256 cameras.

Symmetry Business Range of Controllers
The Business range of controllers provides distributed processing for access control. The range includes the Business 16 M1100 (1,000 cardholders) and Business 64 M1200 (2,000 cardholder), each available in a two-reader or four-reader version. Each controller is housed in its own hinged-lid lockable cabinet, fi tted with a tamper switch and power-on indicator.The controllers include several cost-saving features, such as on-board auxiliary relays and monitor point inputs, and an integrated RS232 port for PC communication.The Business 16 / 64 panels incorporate fl ash memory, which enables enhancements to be downloaded from a PC, simplifying upgrades and minimizing installation time.

Reader Types SupportedThe Business 16 / 64 controllers support Series 600 and 800 readers as standard. Readers with a Wiegand interface are supported by fi tting an optional Wiegand Interface Unit (WIU).Series 600/800 readers are the perfect choice for installation professionals who require total system security. Unlike readers with a Wiegand interface, which are susceptible to undetected tampering, Series 600/800 readers use bi-directional pseudo-random supervised communications, which enables an alarm to be generated if the reader or cable is tampered with or communications is lost.Both ranges include keypad-only readers, enabling a cost effective solution for locations that do not require access cards. Authorized users can issue card commands from selected keypad readers.
Series 800 Proximity, Smart Card and Fingerprint Readers
Series 800 is our latest range of readers, employing the very latest proximity, contactless smart card and fi ngerprint reading technologies to allow the widest range of compatibility. The range features wall switch, micro and keypad versions in a variety of colors and styles. Compatibility is provided with Philips MIFARE®, Philips MIFARE® DESFire, Texas Instruments™ (15693), HID and HID iCLASS™ formatted cards.
