Goal-Setting?“Motivational technique based on the concept that the practice of setting specific goals enhances
performance, and that setting difficult goals results in higher performance than setting easier goals.”
Goalsetting is a motivational technique that is used in both
professional and personal settings by driven individuals.
Although the process may seem simple and straightforward,
setting goals correctly is not as easy as you may think.
Establishing criteria against which success can be measured
gives you an opportunity to not just point yourself towards
success, but to measure whether you're achieving what you're
capable of.

What Is
Goal-Setting?
If you’re able to set goals correctly (more on this next slide) and
stick to them, you have something to aim for.
It has been shown that setting goals helps motivate you towards
those goals, help us stay on track, improve our ability to believe in
ourselves and can help determine what went wrong or right when
the timeperiod for the goal expires.
Setting goals, and then achieving them can improve selfconfidence
and selfesteem, having lasting impacts on your work in the future!

When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached,don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.
