Communication “Twoway process of reaching mutual understanding, in which participants not only exchange (encode
decode) information, news, ideas and feelings but also create and share meaning. In general,
communication is a means of connecting people or places. In business, it is a key function of
management–an organization cannot operate without communication between levels, departments and
employees.”Not all communication is twoway. In fact, a lot of communication happens
without the communicator even realizing it.
Not only do the words that we say communicate a message to the
listener, the speed, cadence and tone that we use when saying it encode
their own message.
Even small facets, like the faces we make, where we look and even the
way we walk can all communicate messages to others.
Communication is, in a word, everything.

What Is
Communication?
Communication is valuable in literally every single business industry you could
find yourself in.
It's also immeasurably valuable outside of a work or office setting!
As the Business Dictionary said communication is indeed a key function of
management.
It changes the way others think about us. It can make or break everything from a
job interview or salary negotiation to a date.
The way we communicate dictates almost every aspect of our lives.
Why Engage In
"Communication - the human connection - isthe key to personal and career success,"
Paul J. Tucker
Communication: To effectively communicate you must know what you're saying
with your words, as well as what you're saying with your actions.
A large portion of communication is nonverbal, knowing this and
being cognizant is the first step in improving your communication
skills.
Improving how we communicate isn’t the easiest thing, but it
becomes immensely less difficult if you can pick out where you’re
falling short.
One of the most efficient ways of improving these is by recording
yourself speaking and, just like professional athletes do,
watching the tape. This way, you’ll much more easily be able to
see and hear the areas in which you’re not executing, and where
you’re excelling.
