We write the majority of our business applications as bespoke products – specifically designed to meet the needs of our clients. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to developing software.

There are a variety of platforms and technologies available within the business application market, however we prefer to use either ASP.NET or PHP to implement our designs.

Working within either of these disciplines we have evolved solid and robust design patterns which allow us to produce code in a consistently resilient and robust way which compliments our agile development process.

Peyton & Byrne Retail Support Applications

We develop business applications and software systems that transform productivity and efficiency for our clients

Key to our success is blended agile development and a streamlined delivery process. We prepare customer/user journeys and personas – these define the audience and their interactions with the product.

Working with the IT service function within Peyton and Byrne, we designed a series of business applications to standardise the production, delivery and reporting functions within the organisation - taking all aspects of the business process into an online format.

In addition to providing web services for staff, we also created a mobile interface for customers to make reservations at a number of the Peyton and Byrne restaurant outlets. This service was also provided with a web based management interface for authorised users to confirm bookings via both email and SMS services.

Working hard to establish a project ambassador at the client

premises and a wider advocacy network within the company, we

were able to jointly able to agree the scope of the project to define

a fully inclusive requirements specification.

Mint BGC Integrated CRM & Trading Platform

Key to our success is blended agile development and a streamlined delivery process. We prepare customer/user journeys and personas – these define the audience and their interactions with the product.

Working with the client at our premises we executed a pair programming phase to build the initial prototype of the product to the exact business requirements. The prototype underwent serveral iterations of development focussing heavily on the deal ticket interface and ensuring that reporting functions were aligned to both sales manager and broker’s requirements.

Once the prototype was sgined off, we were able to move into the development phase with client input through regular business review sessions to ensure that any issues or bugs could be prioritised effectively either completed or moved into the next iteration.

The product took advantage of live currency feeds to enable users to constantly manage exposure, risk and margin calls in addition to being able to place deals with real-time data.

The integrated CRM enabled the sales team to work much more closely with the traders and brokers to elimate previous separation of concerns between departments and bring the business closer together by creating a common interface for transacting with clients at every touch point.

MINT BGC work within a constantly changing environment, deals

and transactions need to be made immediately to take advantage

the current markets. They came to us to help them gain a

competitive edge by integrating their sales function directly with

the brokerage platform – so that deal tickets could be placed and

managed through an integrated CRM and ticketing system.

Thomson Reuters IT Service Request System

Key to our success is blended agile development and a streamlined delivery process. We prepare customer/user journeys and personas – these define the audience and their interactions with the product.

Using our Blended Agile Development techniques we developed a system that enabled system admins to create and update all forms, line managers to action all requests and users to intuitively make service requests through a web interface.

A sophisticated form builder controls all types of input field, tooltips, validation and conditional branching. All requests pass through a workflow engine, all users have a personal dashboard. Email alerts are distributed for all requests and scheduled reminders are used to clear any static requests. The application has had a significant impact in reducing calls to IT Support and results in few requests being lost.

Thomson Reuters came to us to provide a solution to an increasing

backlog of service requests across a workforce of over 50,000.

Requests were being submitted across a myriad of MS Word and

MS Excel documents scattered across their corporate intranets.

We initiated a period of analysis and presented a report to all form

owners, this was used as the platform for our proposed solution.

From the start of a project you’ll be assigned a project manager who will be your main contact throughout the project. Your project manager will keep you updated as the project progresses, answer your queries and listen to your feedback.

You’ll also meet our designers and developers, who pride themselves on being able to talk through their work in clear, jargon-free language.

As a client, you’ll be an active member of the project team, taking part in business reviews of the product at key milestones within the project and working closely with our digital project manager to provide feedback and sign-off at defined stages within the project.

You'll also have access to our online resources for managing communications and documentation throughout the project - this allows you to upload project assets to a secure project portal and check the status of the project through our tasks and milestones software 24/7.

And when the project has gone live, we'll continue to support you through our dedicated business support team, which provides a helpdesk function for call handling and ticketing system to allow you to log support requests.
