Pitch Letter p. 10This letter is written to bring awareness to Indian Residential school affects and present ‘Eye of the Wolf.’ This multi-day workshop series offers holistic and culturally sensitive healing and wellness to resident school survivors and community.
News Release p. 11
This news releases was hypothetical, and was developed for Tseshaht First Nation and the neighbouring urban city, Port Alberni. This release was geared towards the general public to spark discussion and interest in developing relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal with an emphasis on “future partnerships”.”
Feature Story p. 12
“Eye of the Wolf, Centering Indigenous Knowledge” is a feature article about a personal journey that examines the affects of western education systems, notably residential schools. It introduces the significance of acknowledging truths about the impact of these schools, while empowering its participants with awareness and acknowledgement. Tlimaxti, self/soul, model is mentioned.
Brochure
These two brochures were designed for different purposes and audiences. ‘Eye of the Wolf’ is to give a brief introduction to what the workshop entails, and its five components of wellness and healing. These brochures would be on distributed to potential coordinators of a workshop series.
The second brochure I developed while in a team of 3 with my classmates to put together a short presentation aimed at recruiting marketing communications graduates to work at Goldcrop. We did this in the form of a top 10 list, counting down the 10 best reasons to work at Goldcorp, and this brochure captured these ‘Top 10.’
E Newsletter
Natasha Marshall Communications Inc.’s Newsletter is meant to showcase the layout and design in newsletters used in community and for a company. It is a quarterly newsletter aimed at community members of Tseshaht First Nation to let them know what is happening in their ‘back-yard.’
