Public Vote On November 14, the patrons of the United #7 school district came out in record numbers to vote on the proposed building project. A total of 830 voters hit the polls with 517 yes votes and 313 no votes for a 62 percent approval rating. It was an impressive number of people who wanted a voice in the direction of our youth’s education! The project will go out on bids in late February-early March with construction beginning later this spring.

Bus Clothing All students must have a winter coat to ride the bus. This includes riding the bus to sporting events. Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Birthday Party Invitations In the past children have not been allowed to hand out Birthday invitations at school. Several parents have visited with administration about the difficulty in inviting friends for a birthday party when you don’t know the children’s names or how to contact parents. We have decided to allow students to bring invitations and hand them out at school. Please use discretion in how the invitations are handed out when not including all the boys/girls in the class. One suggestion would be to have the classroom teacher place them in their take home folders. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Andersen or Mrs. Kranz.

Ballgame Expectations Elementary students attending basketball games are expected to be in the gym cheering on the Lakers. Please remind your children they are not to be running in and out of the gym when the game is in play. Please wait until the players are off of the floor. (Time-outs, half-time, between games) Students are not to be running in the halls or in the commons area.
