Hablar de la posesión con “own”

own significa “propio” y se utiliza con adjetivos posesivos como my own (mi propio), your own (tu propio), his own (su propio), etc. Te propongo completar las siguientes oraciones con la forma correcta de los adjetivos posesivos (my/your/his/her/its/our/their).

1. I share a flat with some friends but I have a room of own.

2. My sister has own business.

3. My little brother is ten but he has own computer.

4.My wife and I have a garden and grow our vegetables.

5. When you are photographer it is important to have own dark room.

6. My children have own playroom in the new house.

7. My cat is so spoilt: it has own armchair.

Los pronombres sujeto y los pronombres complemento en inglés

Los pronombres sujeto son I, you, he, she, it, we , they. Como sabés en inglés el sujeto tiene que ser siempre expresado, no como en castellano, donde el sujeto es prescindible, ya que el verbo incorpora información sobre el protagonista de la acción.

Una frase como Am happy no es gramatical en inglés. El sujeto tiene que ser explícito: I am happy. Hay una excepción – cuando la frase es imperativa: Come here!

Existe otra serie de formas pronominales que se utilizan cuando el pronombre tiene una función de complemento (directo, indirecto, o de una preposición). Los presentaré poniéndolos en relación con los pronombres sujeto para que podáis ver los cambios ortográficos:

Los pronombres complemento u objeto se diferencian de los pronombres sujeto tanto a nivel de la forma (me vs. I; her vs. she) como de la función en la oración. Mientras que los pronombres sujeto ocupan la posición inicial de la oración, los pronombres objetos se utilizan después del verbo o de una preposición.
