Details of The Competition 14th FAI World Para Ski Championships Date and location of the Competition March, 11 – March 16, 2014, Russia, Kemerovo region, Promishlennay district, drop-zone Tanay Competition purposes To determine World champions in Paraski in individual classification– male and female separately; To determine World champions in Paraski team competition– male and mixed teams together and female

teams and junior teams separately; To determine World champions in Paraski junior classification (date of birth on or after 01/01/1990 – age of 24

years) – male and female separately; To determine the Winner of the World Master class Paraski (date of birth on or before 31/12/1964 – age of 50

years) – male and female separately; [* for minimum participation in all classifications see IPC Paraski CR § 4.4.8.]

To advance and develop Paraski, as an attractive sport; To exchange ideas and to strengthen friendly relations between parachutists, judges and technicians of all

nationalities; To improve methods and technologies of judging. Participants A maximum of 4 teams per nation is allowed. Three teams may be all male, all female, or of mixed gender, but there may be no more than 8 males or 8 females, in these three teams. The fourth team may be composed only of juniors, or for each junior included in the three teams mentioned above, the fourth team may include one competitor of the same gender, who is not a junior. For a team to be eligible for Junior Team ranking, it must be composed of 4 junior competitors. All competitions will be carried out according to rules of the FAI/IPC competitions.

Tanay Drop Zone is located in the geographical center of Russia, inside a conservation area of the Salairsky Ridge foothills, amid the picturesque Siberian taiga.

Details of Access

Flight from Moscow to Novosibirsk, Russian Federation - 4 hours by plane.

Transfer from airport of Novosibirsk to DZ Tanai (160 km) – 2,5 hours by shuttle-bus.

Transfer from airport of Kemerovo to DZ Tanai (120 km) - 2 hours by shuttle-bus.

The organizer will be granted reduced airfare for members of the World Para-ski in Moscow-Novosibirsk and back (airfare € 200) when booking tickets through the organizing committee by email dasha@tanay-sky.ru mail until 31 January 2014.

Both registration forms will be available on a site of the organizer www.paraski2014.ru Registration though Internet is the preferred option.

Flag & anthem

Each participating country must bring their national flag (the size 100 cm x 150 cm) and a CD with the national anthem for opening and closing ceremonies.

Weather Conditions

Average Temperature: Daytime: + 3-10°C, Nighttime: -3-20 °C, Wind: 3-7 m/sec, south- west/western direction, sunrise: 07.35 a.m., sunset: 19.15 p.m. DZ Elevation: 240 m.

Insurance Requirements Each competitor should be insured for injury valid for the Russian Federation, covering repatriation costs and insurance of responsibility before the third parties for €30.000,00.

1. Personal Health insurance and repatriation coverage are the responsibility of each participant and is highly advisable. 2. Liability insurance coverage to third parties for the event is provided by the organizer. This does not apply for any damage caused by a participant in freefall or under canopy. Any such damage is the responsibility of the parachutist. Third party liability insurance for the parachute and/or participant is highly advisable. 3. Any damage to hotel rooms etc. is the responsibility of the persons involved.

Medical Cover

The immediate medical care (First Aid) is the responsibility of the Organizer during the official event, including training days. At competitions there will be 2 ambulance cars with the equipment for reanimation and the personnel, and also the medical personnel in DZ Tanay (2 doctors).

Entry Fees The quantity of places for placement in hotel of DZ Tanay (Option No. 1) is limited; booking will be carried out according to the sequence of the receipt of applications. For other participants placement in Hotel of a mountain-skiing resort Tanay (Option No. 2) will be offered. The choice of option must be agreed with Head of delegation, Team Manager or Coach.

Practice:

We will provide one of the aircraft mentioned above for training jumps before the competition. Training starts 3 days before the competition on 8th of March 2014. Jump ticket costs 17 Euro. Please notify us, at least before one month before your arrival, if you want to make training jumps. Email dasha@tanay-sky.ru. We DO NOT provide giant slalom training. Each team can organize its own slalom training by contacting local ski resort representative http://natanay.ru/. Accommodation: Option1. DZ Tanay Hotel DZ Tanay has its own training center hangar which covers 840 square meters for skydivers, with warm packing areas, classes, rooms for judges and sportsmen, free Wi-Fi access, toilet and showers rooms, big parking area.

We have a limited number of rooms for accommodation at DZ Tanay hotel. The booking will be provided according to request priority. All other guests are welcome to stay at Tanay Ski Resort Hotel (Option2)

All standard rooms of DZ Tanay Hotel have two single beds. It is possible to provide an extra bed and child bed in any room. One room has: two single beds, hair dryer, toilet and shower room, small table, SatTV, phone with int. access.

Additional paid services: Russian sauna, finish sauna, billiard, karaoke, pistol club, demo flight in YAK52 sport airplane. Please contact us for more details regarding these services.

Option 2. Tanay SkiResort Hotel

Twin rooms. One room has: two single beds, hair dryer, toilet and shower room, small table, SatTV, phone with int. access.

Additional services (which must be paid for): SPA-center, cedar barrel spa, acupuncture, child room.

Local transfers: All local transfer services will be provided by bus which runs from hotel to DZ for all participants. Your entry fee covers local transfers. We provide free parking for your cars here. You can rent a car in Novosibirsk or Kemerovo. Please contact us if you wish one http://paraski2014.ru/details-of-access/transfer/. Judging equipment: Russian judging system POISK will be used to judge accuracy landing (subject to S&A Committee and the Judges Committee approval). Public Address System: A modern loudspeaker system will be installed at DZ Tanay for notifying all participants and official persons. Networks: Free wi-fi access provided and covers entire DZ. All team managers will be equipped by local cellular carrier's mobile phones for contact with organizers. Opening/closing ceremony: Opening ceremony will be at the first day of competition (12 of March 2014) Closing ceremony will be at the last day of competition (15 March 2014) right before farewell dinner. Cultural program: During the event , the organizer will arrange local excursions with various traditional elements of the region's culture. We will also organize various recreational activities. Storage: We will provide protected storage rooms for all equipment of the participants. Safety: The safety of all participants, accompanying persons, officials FAI/IPC and visitors will be provided by the local police and security officers (PRS). Visa services:

All competitors arriving in Russia must have a visa. To obtain a visa you need to send a list of all the participants to dasha@tanay-sky.ru organizer and attach a copy of their passports (open on a page with photos, see sample). Please specify the city in their country that has a Russian consulate, and where they would like to get their visa. According to the law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the visa cannot be issued earlier than 3 months prior to entry into the Russian Federation.

In accordance with the requirement of the Russian Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a copy of the passport must correspond to quality of the attached specimen, the passport should be scanned and saved in

JPEG, providing passport photographed with a mobile phone is not allowed, photocopies of passports are not accepted.

Please be sure to indicate the city where you will get a visa.
