Spa Day – June 11-9am-3pm- Summer relaxation is calling! Dress comfy and spend the day making bath bombs, body salts, face masks, lotions and more. Dive into healthy habits you can use everyday and relax with group yoga, as we learn more about our well-being. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost-$20 ($10 for current 4-H members). This camp is for current 3rd-8th graders.
Clover Kids Robotics Camp– June 16-9am-3pm– Youth will get to explore with the Bee Bots as they work on their computer coding skills to ‘move’ their Bots across Iowa. They will learn basic programming skills such as creating an algorithm. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost: $10 ($5 for current Clover Kids members). This camp is for current Kindergarten-3rd graders.
Babysitting Clinic– June 18-9am-3pm– Youth will learn the basics of babysitting including infant care, first aid and CPR, ages and stages, home alone safety, and get to spend time with younger children at a Childcare Center. Location: ISU Extension Office in Rockwell City. Cost-$20 ($10 for current 4-H members). This camp is for current 5th & 6th graders.
Minecraft Mania– June 24–9am-3pm- Build your Minecraft world and then hand craft a real world representation. Campers will explore multiple Minecraft challenges throughout the day. The camp registration fee will include a year-long subscription to Minecraft. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost-$20 ($10 for current 4-H members). This camp is for current 3rd-8th graders.
Clover Kids-Kids in the Kitchen– June 30– 9am-3pm- Become a chef! Youth will learn how to create healthy and yummy snacks and lunch as they prepare and cook their meals. They will also learn more about My Plate and have fun exercising between meals. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost: $20 ($10 for current Clover Kids members). This camp is for current 2nd and 3rd graders.
Grossology– July 15-9am-3pm- Learn about blood, snot, vomit, and boogers and why the body produces these gross but important substances. We will tackle the ickiest, grossest and slimiest of body secretions in our quest for knowledge. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost- $20 ($10 for current 4-H members). This camp is for current 3rd-8th graders.
Clover Kids Digging Those Dinosaurs– July 21-9am-3pm- Have you ever wanted to dig up fossils or experience a volcanic eruption? You’re invited on an adventure to learn about the different types of dinosaurs and the world they lived in. Discover ancient fossils and create your own fossil. At ‘Digging Those Dinosaurs’, you will find out what it takes to become a true paleontologist. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost- $20 ($10 for current Clover Kids members). This camp is for current Kindergarten-3rd graders.
Take Science to the eXtreme– July 29-9am-3pm- Learn the science behind eXtreme sports through model experiments. Measure the velocity of a mini zip line, design protective gear, and manipulate environmental conditions. Location: Expo Center in Rockwell City. Cost- $20 ($10 for current 4-H members). This camp is for current 3rd-8th graders.
Virtual Camp Disclaimer If COVID-19 regulations restrict in-person
camps, each summer camp will have an alternative experience.
Summer Camps will include a mix of activities including: camp
materials mailed to your home, video descriptions of camp activities,
and a virtual “show and tell” option with other camp participants. Camp
delivery mode will be made 2 weeks prior to each camp date, unless
we are directed differently from ISU or Governor Reynolds.
