• Call for Letters of Interest • Simple, easy to complete • Distributed electronically within each region
• Selection criteria • Need: limited track record on smart growth; limited staff capacity;
high future growth projections; disadvantaged and/or rural communities
• Readiness and Impact: political or community support; opportunity for policy change; potential to impact development patterns
• Likelihood of Success: partner commitment; identified champion
