Introduction

• Pesawat model bertenaga karet merupakan salah satu bagian dari cabang olah raga kedirgantaraan (Aeromodelling)

• Umumnya pesawat model bertenaga karet termasuk dalam kategory “free flight”.

• Setelah pesawat dilepas, maka ia akan terbang sendiri sesuai dengan karakteristik aerodynamic-nya atau yang telah ditentukan oleh pembuatnya (berdasarkan kondisi trim).

10 LANGKAH TRIMMING

1. Tentukan posisi titik berat (Center of Gravity / CG). 2. Timbang model tanpa propeller dan karet untuk menentukan letak

CG. 3. Lepaskan model agar melayang (gliding). 4. Atur sudut dan posisi ekor datar agar diperoleh gliding yang baik. 5. Periksa kestabilan pesawat dengan sedikit menukik dan menanjak. 6. Bila perlu atur kembali posisi CG agar lebih stabil. 7. Beri tanda lokasi CG yang baru (bila dirubah pada langkah 6). 8. Pasang propeller dan karet, kemudian kembalikan CG pada posisi

seperti langkah 7. 9. Test terbang dengan tenaga karet secukupnya. 10. Atur sikap dan pola terbang dengan mengubah arah thrust.
