About Carver: George Washington Carver High School for Health Professions, Engineering, and Technology serves approximately 800 students in grades 9 through 12 in Birmingham City Schools. Under the leadership of Dr. Evelyn Nettles Hines, the school sits atop a hill overlooking northern Birmingham. Carver’s mascot is the ram, and the school’s colors are red, white and blue. Carver’s academic building encompasses 166,000 square feet across five stories with top-notch facilities to enhance learning.
