Under the leadership of Dr. Evelyn Nettles Hines, the school sits atop a hill overlooking northern Birmingham. Carver’s mascot is the ram, and the school’s colors are red, white and blue. Carver’s academic building encompasses 166,000 square feet across five stories with top-notch facilities to enhance learning. School Highlights: Seniors consistently receive over $3 million in scholarships. Many students graduate with professional certifications. Students may earn college credits while in high school through the dual enrollment program. 9 th grade Freshman Academy exists to assist students with middle to high school transition.
