When we launched Talley Riggins Construction Group in May 2018, we had a vision of what we wanted this company to represent in the industry – integrity, trust and excellence. Our leap of faith has turned out to exceed our expectations as we worked with longstanding clients and vendors and forged new ones.
This past year we have partnered with some of Dallas’ leading companies and institutions including Matthews Southwest, The Ratliff Group, and SMU. Whether we were renovating a 1950’s building for The Slate, building a new showroom for Forest Lane Jeep Chrysler Dodge or a multi-building recycling facility for US Auto Recycle, we have stayed true to our core belief that communication and transparency are vital to the construction process.
We could not have achieved this success without the outstanding employees who have joined us on this journey. We would also like to thank all the vendors and subcontractors whose expertise helped the operation of each project run seamlessly.
We appreciate our clients putting their trust in Talley Riggins Con- struction Group during our inaugural year. We look forward to more exciting projects and forming new relationships for years to come.
Doug Talley, CEO and John Riggins, President Talley Riggins Construction Group
A Note from Doug and John CELEBRATING ONE YEAR
Talley Riggins has been selected by Matthews Southwest to renovate and finish out the headquarters of ACT (Advocates for Community Transformation), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower inner city residents to fight crime on their street and reduce crime by 50% in their target neighborhoods.
Located at 1400 Akard Street, Talley Riggins will work with bcWorkshop and Omniplan Architects on the interior renovation, exterior facelift and a new parking lot. We are especially proud to have been chosen out of a field of four construction firms to work on a project for an organization that is creating such a positive impact in our community.

One of the first projects for Talley Riggins was the renovation of a 1950’s building in the Dallas Design District from a jewelry photography studio into a co-working space and content studio called The Slate.
It was a privilege to work with The Slate founders, Jodie Hastings and Shelly Slater whose vision was to create a space where a community of businesses support and encourage each other to “Hone it. Own it. Slate it.” We appreciate them entrusting us with their project. Thanks to Chris Wright, The Slate’s tenant rep, who introduced us to Jodie and Shelly.
Client Testimonial THE SLATE
We have only the highest praise for the Talley Riggins team, their work ethic, their standards, and their integrity. The team from Talley Riggins was efficient, accommodating and performed work at the highest levels of industry standards. We felt fully informed throughout the process, and were always pleased with Talley Riggins’ responsiveness and communication skills.
Our project began on November 2, 2018 and was completed with exceptional quality before March 1, 2019 (our first day of business). That is remarkable because we had an extensive renovation - during a time frame that included major holidays. Only attention to detail, tenacity and hard work allowed the process to reach completion in such a short time period - and we owe that to the Talley Riggins team.
Most importantly, Talley Riggins remains attentive to our project after completion. Based on their responsiveness to minor issues after completion, we are confident they will always be a trusted advisor and partner in our project.
