gender equality indicators in sport
• Result: • Indicators in 5 strategic areas : leadership, coaching,
participation, gender-based violence and the media coverage of women and men practising sport
• 4 Pilot countries for the data collection campaign on the indicators: Finland, France, Romania, Spain

• Existence of policies and / or programmes that prevent and combat gender-based violence in sport implemented by the organisation (and brief description where appropriate)
• Tools and concrete measures implemented / available in
this area (and brief description of the most important one) (where appropriate)

• Next Steps on gender equality: • Strengthen partnerships with sports
organisations and public authorities,
• Extend the data collection by completing the basic set of indicators with data from external sources,
• Carry out a feasibility study on the development of a self-assessment tool,
• Continue to collect more good practices from sports organisations and update the handbook,
• Organise seminars to train the gender equality officers from Ministries and sport organisations
• Launch “BIS+” project in 2018
