So, what’s on the agenda? We are pleased to offer timely and relevant content through both speaker and breakout sessions. This year’s keynote speaker is Jamie Notter, of Human Workplaces, who will be sharing some eye-opening research from within the association community that highlights key pitfalls and opportunities for creating a culture of innovation.

Additional highlights include:

Jaime Notter, Consultant, Human Workplace 9:15–10:30 am, Chesapeake Innovation is a popular buzzword in the association community these days, but do you really know what it takes to make innovation a reality in your association? Believe it or not, it all starts with workplace culture, because if your culture won’t support the specific behaviors that drive innovation, you’ll end up being all talk and no action (or results). In this provocative session, culture expert Jamie Notter will share some eye-opening research from within the association community that highlights key pitfalls and opportunities for creating a culture of innovation—at a time when our community needs it the most.

Lunch & Meet the Experts 12:00 – 12:50 pm, ChesapeakeJoin us on the 3rd floor – Chesapeake Gallery for a buffet luncheon. We’ll also have industry experts who are ready to help you with your unique business needs. If you have questions. They have the answers. Meet the Experts.

B Having SUM Fun: Storing, Using & Manipulating DataChris Beaman, Director of Advancement & Communications, Kappa Delta Pi | Patti Bontempo, Director of Finance, Kappa Delta Pi | Jayne Geslak, Kappa Delta Pi11:00 – 11:50 am, Loch Raven Based on collaborative experiences using ACGI’s Association Anywhere software, three colleagues from three different internal departments will share tips and tricks on storing, using, and manipulating data from and within the system in order to drive better business decisions. P Understanding GDPR: ACGI Tools and Tips to Help With Your ComplianceDan Kasprow, Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder, ACGI Software11:00 – 11:50 am, SevernThe European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on May 25th, and it has significant implications for organizations that handle personal data of those in the EU. But according to ASAE, more than a third of business executives and board members feel unsure about whether their organization are prepared to handle GDPR. ACGI has done its part and taken steps in its product development with Association Anywhere and Certelligence to implement

essential features to help our customers. What comes as a surprise to many organizations is that they have much to prepare for, outside of the systems they use. This session will highlight ACGI’s product enhancements to address GDPR. It will also provide some useful information about your organization’s responsibilities to adhere to GDPR.

V How Associations are Delivering Educational Content in an On-Demand World Sean Lawler, Director of Digital Products, Omnipress 11:00 – 11:50 am, Camden 1Educational content is the single greatest value your association provides to members—whether through your conference or your continuing education and training programs. In an on-demand world, members expect to access this content when and how they prefer. This makes managing and leveraging content more complex and time-consuming for association professionals, resulting in less time for other, more strategic initiatives. Using insights from our Fourth Annual State of the Industry Report, this session will address the top content trends and implications, while presenting thought-provoking questions to help your association turn these findings into action.

T Business Process Mapping for Automating Your Workflows Kacey Conn, Business Analyst, ACGI Software 11:00 – 11:50 am, HarborviewLearn the 5 key steps to mapping out your business processes to help your organization gain operational efficiencies, begin to automate a paper process or improve the operations of existing automation. During this session, we will take you through a simple exercise that will give you the tools you need to begin process mapping for your own organization.

Bad user experience design can frustrate and alienate users, while an intuitive and welcoming design can retain customers and promote adoption. In this session, ACGI’s UX and Product teams along with one of our creative partners will provide an overview of what it means to be “user-centered” in your designs. We will share with you various concepts and techniques that can be applied to your product experience designs in order to deliver optimal value to your users.

Extending and Improving the Customer Experience With ApEX, CSS, and JavascriptChris Dugmore, Director of Data Integrity, AASLD 9:30 – 10:20 am, Loch Raven In Amazon’s 2018 shareholder letter, Jeff Bezos asked, “How do you stay ahead of ever-rising customer expectations?” – The instant gratification factor is high and users want more now. Every day your users have access to tools that look good and provide a highly usable interface for the end-user experience and collecting data. The problem posed by those interfaces is the data collected is not in your central customer database (AA/Certelligence). And, now it’s your problem to get the data added to the customer records. The solution is to build and provide improved workflows and user interfaces using native tools in AA/Certelligence. ApEX provides excellent reporting, data collection, and with a little reverse
