BUILD YOUR OWN SAP FIORI APP IN THE CLOUD - FINAL ASSIGMENT
BY Dairo Leonardo Lozano Rodriguez
STORY
INDUSTRIAS SAN JUAN is a soluble coffee manufacturing Company located in Colombia that exports coffee extract and soluble coffee to
international customers. Its Quality process involves a critical document control system where different actors generate information from different
sources using several SAP custom and standard transactions (SD, MM, PM, QM, etc), but sometimes physical documents are required by different
control instances.
The last step in production and shipment chain is the final quality and customs inspection to ready to ship containers. This task is performed by the
Warehouse manager, who is in charge of releasing the container dispatch to sea port after checking that all required commercial, legal, quality and
transport information is complete and compliant to customs and legal regulations.
Currently, this task is really difficult because in order to gather the required documents and information, the warehouse manager must access several
transactions without access to most of them due to security restrictions, requiring the request of physical printouts of them to the different
stakeholders.
The main purpose of the proposed FIORI application is presenting the shipment list with all required information in one place, including the quality
tests results, supporting documents, scanned images, allowing the release or rejection of shipments with just a button click, in order to improve the
shipment release process efficiency.
