Dust off that instrument... join the church orchestra!

The orchestra, under the direction of Chris Teichler,

will begin rehearsing on Sunday, September 16th, at 5:00 in the sanctuary.

Christmas 2018 Music and Our Retreat I would like to personally invite you to join with others from Ash Creek Baptist Church to get ready for our Christmas 2018 presentations by coming to our annual Christmas Music Retreat on September 21 and 22 in the church’s Fellowship Hall. We are inviting ALL SING-ERS to come and be in the choir for this year’s Christmas presentation. Singers from both of our worship services (Contemporary and Traditional) are joining together for this extra special Christmas musical event. All you need to do is: 1. Come to the retreat and begin laying a firm foundation for learning the music. And, 2. Attend the first part of our regular Wednesday evening rehearsals at 7:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary choir loft where we’ll begin each rehearsal with our Christmas music.

The retreat begins with a meal at 6 p.m. on Friday even-ing (9/21) and concludes on Saturday around noon.

Want to sing, but can’t commit to every week during the year? Come sing, just the Christmas music, with us and rehearse from the end of September to the first part of December (less than 3 months).

I would like everyone to mark your calendars and make plans to attend and invite others to Ash Creek’s Christ-mas presentations on December 8th and twice on Decem-ber 9th.

Church is the place to be on Wednesday nights! I am always amazed at the buzz of activity every week. The Youth Group is always a hive of activity as they gather to eat, play, and worship. If you have a student encourage them to come on Wednesday. They will have a great time. RAs and GAs are always hopping on Wednesday as well. Children from grades 1-6 are learning about missions with a full plate of activi-ties. The leaders are dedicated and committed to providing a great ex-perience for all children. Even the Preschoolers can get in on the ac-tion. Mission Friends is a great program for Preschoolers on Wednesday nights. There is plenty of activity for adults too. Prayer Meeting and Bible Study starts at 6:00 in the Fellow-ship Hall. If you are looking for something different, there is an adult Discipleship Class upstairs. This semester Larry Lormand is teaching a class on church history. At 7:15 the Sanctuary Choir re-hearses. The choir would LOVE to have you come join them. It all starts with a meal beginning at 5:00. The youth even have their own café in The Meeting Place where they can get hamburgers and other kinds of food. Church is the place to be on Wednesday nights. I hope to see you there.
