    in the construction (including power line construction) and telecommunications industries. These standards are under Title 29, CFR Chapter XVII, Parts 1910 and 1926 as detailed below. Part 1910.67 (c) (2) (V) apply specifically to extensible and articulation boom platforms belting requirements. Part 1910.268 (g) (2) and (g) (3) applies specifically to telecommunications and personal climbing equipment for use

    in that industry. 1910.269 applies to electric power generation, transmission and distribution, electrical protection equipment. Part 1926.104 (e) and (f ) applies to safety belts, lifelines and lanyards used primarily in the construction industry. Part1926.453(b)(2)(v)applyspecificallytoaeriallift-beltingrequirements. Part1926.502fallprotectionsystemcriteriaandpractices Part1926.951b,ToolandProtectiveEquipment,dealwiththecareanduseofpersonalclimbingequipment.Other

    requirements and/or standards may be issued. Part1926.959appliesspecificallytolinemensbodybelts,polestrapsandlanyards.(Otherthanintelecommunica-

    tionscoveredin1910.268).

    TheAmericanSocietyforTestingandMaterials(ASTM)hasrevisedtheEdisonElectricalInstitute(EEI)SpecificationsforLinemensClimbingEquipmentAP-21973.ThenewstandardisASTMF887,StandardSpecificationsforPersonalClimbingEquipment.

    CSAInternationalisaproviderofthirdpartyproducttestingandcertificationservicesforcompliancetonationalandinternational standards. The CSA Certification mark, generally required by the Canadian market, indicates that a product hasbeenevaluatedbytheirprocess(examination,testingandfollow-upinspection)andcompliestotherequirementsofthe applicable standard for which the product is labeled.
