The mission of the Beyond the Bell Branch is to ensure that all children and youth in LAUSD have access to high quality, safe, and supervised academic, enrichment, and recreation programs that inspire learning and achievement beyond the regular school day (before and after school and Saturdays). Our role and responsibility is to grow, enhance and strengthen our present programs and to reach out to the greater Los Angeles community to build partnerships before and after school. We provide the following programs:

CIVIC CENTER PERMITIssue appropriate permits to allow for the use of
public school facilities as a civic center to members of the community for supervised not-for-profit recreational activities, meetings and public
discussions.

2015-16 HIGHLIGHTS★ Granada Hills Charter High School was named the National Champions for the 2015
Academic Decathlon competition.★ A unique public-private partnership launced the Esperanza Azteca Youth Orchestra, providing
more than 200 underprivileged Los Angeles school Children the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument.
★ The Air Force Association (AFA) awarded Beyond The Bell with the Vandenberg Award in Washington, DC. BTB is recognized for its distinguished success in its contributions to more than 600 after-school programs.
★ the CyberGirlz Summit is the first effort in a long-term commitment to include outreach efforts that are targeted toward young women in the cyber security field.Alvaro Cortés
