Department of Electrical Engineering Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur, Howrah – 711 103 Subject: UGC-BSR Research Fellowship – 2013 Applications are invited for UGC-BSR Research Fellowship as per the following details: Fellowships: 05 [ One each in the specializations (1) Electrical Machines, (2) Power Systems, (3) Control Systems, (4) Power Electronics and (5) Instrumentation]; may be distributed among other specializations if suitable candidates are not found in a particular specialization. Eligibility: As per UGC-BSR Guideline, the candidates who have been selected for registering or registered to the Ph.D. program in any of the above specializations in the Department of Electrical Engineering (A UGC SAP assisted Department) of BESU, Shibpur. Tenure: The Fellowship is initially for 2 years, may be extended to maximum up to 5 years depending on the evaluation of the candidate’s performance. How to Apply: Candidates may apply to the HoD, Electrical Engineering Department on plain paper with complete bio-data mentioning (i) area of research, (ii) whether GATE qualified or not and (iii) a copy of Ph.D. Enrolment/Admission order. Amount of Fellowship: For Non-GATE Candidates: 1st and 2nd Year Grant: Fellowship Rs. 14,000/ p.m: Contingency @ Rs. 12,000/- p.a. HRA as per university rules. 3rd, 4th and 5th Year Grant: Fellowship Rs. 16,000/ p.m., Contingency @ Rs. 25,000/- p.a. HRA as per university rules.
