Meet the Team: Jayme SeheultI am Jayme Seheult, the Science teacher on the Birch Team.  This is my second year teaching Science at BJHS, and my ninth year as a public school teacher.  I have taught at a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Magnet school in Eagan, Minnesota, at Mount

Ararat Middle School (Math and Science, 6th through 8th grade), at Falmouth Middle School (6th grade, Math and Science) and at West Bath Elementary School (6th grade, when it was a K to 6 school).  I also have taught (as a volunteer) at a primary school in Kibera, Kenya, Africa (Kibera is a shanty town of Nairobi) and have taught English in Honduras and Ecuador.  Before becoming a teacher, I was an AmeriCorps volunteer in Tacoma, Washington, working on a farm assisting developmentally disabled adults, and as a Peace Corps volunteer, working with farmers, promoting sustainable agriculture, in Guatemala.  Teaching and learning has been a constant with the various jobs and opportunities I have had- I love teaching and have enjoyed the start of the year and teaching and learning with this years sixth graders.
