Brunch with Barry Hi Everyone,
This month 21 members cruised to CJ Cannon’s restaurant at the Vero Beach Airport. The weather was
cloudy and it sprinkled on the way to Vero and the corvettes survived. The service and food were very
good and the food came out very fast.
Great Friends and Cars, Life if Good.

(continued from page #1) o New Business:
▪ A decision was made by the board that the Thanksgiving Dinner and Holiday party will be cancelled
for this year.
▪ Board did agree, that when SCC activities resume, we would have additional events at the two restaurants
Dolphin Bar & Shrimp House and Shuckers for their cooperation with the cancellation of SCC events.
▪ Thanksgiving Food Drive:
• Normally, during the Thanksgiving dinner party we have a food collection which is more important this year
than ever. The board decided that we would have a voluntary member “mental health drive” on November
15th this year and stop at a designated area with food contributions by participating members.
▪ Toys for Tots:
• Discussions with Wallace Chevrolet will occur in the next two weeks to decide how we proceed. The SCC
board is in support of another voluntary member “mental health drive” on December 6th from a designated
area to Wallace Chevrolet to drop off toys or donations for the toys for tot’s charity. Wallace Chevrolet in the
support of our club normally contributes and has committed to contribute $500.00 for this wonderful charity.
We are asking members to contribute a minimum of $30.00 in either toys or cash.
▪ The above two mental health drives info:
• Attendance at these two events are voluntary and at your own risk.
• Members attending these two events are responsible to maintain their own social distancing and are asked to
wear masks.
• These two events will not be SCC sponsored events but voluntary charity drives.
▪ Board also agreed that all the other SCC events are cancelled through January 2021.
▪ SCC club supports the yearly homecoming parades with members driving students or dignitaries during
the parade. Since these events have been cancelled, participation by SCC members will not be necessary.
▪ National Corvette Museum (“NCM”) has informed me that Barry Bracken’s memorial Brick has now
been placed.
• Once it is safe, SCC will organize a NCM cruise to view the memorial Brick for anyone that would be
interested in attending.
The Board members and I will continue to be in contact by phone and email on how to go forward.
The next SCC Board meeting will be held on January 16, 2021. In the meantime, I will email any further
information regarding the two voluntary mental health drives as soon as they are developed.
In summary, I ask for your continued support and understanding for these are unprecedented times and the
safety of our membership and their families comes first.
All the best and stay safe.

I know you heard this before but this is a good
time to change your cabin air filter. Changing the
cabin air filter every 12 months or sooner ensures
good air quality and improves the vehicle's
heating and cooling performance. Some types of
cabin air filters also eliminate odors, so fresh air
flows throughout the vehicle's cabin. While you
are doing that get in the habit to check your
engine air filter at the same time. Good luck in
this time of need.
