First and foremost, I want to thank all of you because without you, there is no us. You are what makes our program successful. We supply the genetics or building blocks, but the rest lies in your selection and management.

I’m writing this letter as a thank you and as an invitation. We are in the process of change, a change caused by the growth of our program. With that, I am announcing a very large two day sale, June 17 & June 18, at Dunlap Livestock, in Dunlap, Iowa.

We will be selling over 2,000 head of cow-calf pairs, summer calving cows, fall bred cows, and spring 2017 bred cows, as well as our entire group of replacement heifers. We are not going anywhere, we will still be in the cattle business, but due to our location, we have to get our numbers down below 300 head. As in the past, the only way to do this is to offer our best and to offer them all.

Again, we are not going anywhere. Our ET program is still in high-gear, and we will look to you as our valued customers for repopulating with cattle of quality and genetics that is unprecedented in the Angus, SimAngus, and club calf business.

We continue to request your feedback. Also with the timeframe of this sale, it has put us behind in some of our registrations. Please feel free to contact Chris Beutler about this. If we’ve missed something or need to rectify something, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll take care of it.

In baseball, when you are thrown a curve, you can either step out of the way or step back, compensate and swing. Life is like that and this sale is proof of that. We enjoy this business and with our team, we meet the challenges of running a sizable breeding cattle operation.

And now this is your time, not ours, to keep the analogy going further, “You are up to bat.” You can step out of the way, or you can swing, and with this group of cattle you can hit a home run!

We are very excited about this entire offering, and we are proud and humble for your appraisal. We have had some great sales in the past, but this one tops them all!

An important note, for this sale, we will not be mailing out a catalog, instead the cattle will be sorted at sale site and a sale order and catalog will be printed there. On Thursday afternoon, you will be able to pick up your sale binder with every detail necessary to make your decisions.

We will group these cattle in pens of like kind and segments and those pens will be listed in your sale book. It will be simple to follow and to take notes.

We have decided to offer them in 2 days to keep the stress low on the cattle and people. We will start selling cattle at 1:30 P.M. on Friday and we invite you that evening to stay and have a steak at 7:30 P.M. at the Sale Barn Cafe.

On Saturday morning, we again invite you back to the Sale Barn Cafe for a Breakfast Buffet starting at 8:00 A.M. Promptly at 11:00 A.M., we will start day two of the Summer Dispersal Sale.

We will have several ringmen and consultants available that we have entrusted to help you in any way. We assure your satisfaction and stand behind each and every animal in this sale to be 100% healthy and reproductively sound.

The cow/calf pairs will certainly be of great interest. Only in dispersal does a chance like this come along. These calves represent our entire breeding program. Bulls, replacement females, show heifers and steers, all at the perfect age for your judgement selling beside their dam that has been serviced back. Three for the price of one!

And like past Incredible Female Sales, you will recognize our sizable bred heifer and bred cow offering. These are the females that we are famous for. Our numbers allow us to offer you a level of predictability not found in other sales.

In no other sale will you find the commitment we have made to get these cows bred to the very best bulls anywhere. If you study these bulls, you will find we have spared no expense in our selection.
