Relevant  Info  Objectives  and  learning  outcomes  

o To burnish IT graduates with a deep knowledge in

the subject of Electronic Commerce and with a high degree of competence in the use of a modern E-Commerce platform IBM.

o The course offers the expected formal academic studies complemented with a more market oriented practice.

o Acquire both the sound knowledge in E-Commerce and the more down to earth specialist skills that are bound to satisfy what the job market is demanding nowadays and for the foreseeable future.

o Understanding of the relationships between communications, technology and the economics of our society.

o Become familiar with the theories and concepts underlying e�commerce.

o Acquire the right perspective on the economic and business implications of the changes generated by information technology and the Internet

o Be capable of understanding the dynamics of innovation and the organizational consequences of “automating” traditional commerce.

o Sits upon IBM software e-commerce suit to provide students with real deployments of e-commerce solutions.

o Translate e-Commerce concepts into real technologic mechanism and helps learning what features should be expected from solid e-Commerce tools.

o Get ready for the more hands on real life jobs1. o Handled a variety of up to date cases ranging from

developing a complete electronic shop, to producing a business plan for an e-Venture or to having solved real cases of multichannel commerce.

Who  can  participate  (Entry  requirements)    

o Entry to our postgraduate course requires a degree in Computer Science or close related Technical degree.

o If your degree is different from the above an exception could be made and your application considered if you can prove to have sufficient professional experience to compete with the other applicants.

o Applications fulfilling the minimum criteria above will be reviewed by the Admissions Commission who may invite any applicant for an interview to discuss the application.

o After carefully revision of all applications, the Admissions Commission decides whether an application should receive an offer for a place to study this postgraduate course at the University and notify applicants either way.
