Goannas Class News
Over the past few weeks in the Goanna’s class we have been working on improving our writing. I’m sure you have heard your children talking about sizzling starts, dynamic dialogue, backfill, tightening tension and many more terms that we have learnt. This new approach to writing has been implemented across the whole school after all of the staff participated in the Seven Steps to Writing course. At this stage, the Goanna’s have been working hard on sizzling starts and have come up with some incredible beginnings to their stories.
Also in the Goanna’s class as part of our PDHPE unit we have been looking at active lifestyles and how to keep fit and healthy. We have had many discussions about ways to be active and are learning how to create our own aerobics routines and circuits. Ask your children to put you to the test with one of their routines!
As I enter the jungle all I hear are birds screeching and my footsteps on the dry leaves…
What about us
Soccer skills and games coming to Broke Public School Starting from next year there will be friendly soccer fun and games held after school. The soccer games will be for any students who would like to participate. Kenny will be running the afternoons (with some help) and is asking for names of anyone who is interested. It gives students the chance to have some fun playing sport without having to travel into town. If you are keen to be involved please let Tash know.
Hop Hop
iPads Thank you to our wonderful P & C for purchasing iPads for the children to use. We have the iPads up and working and the children are all enjoying using them.
