Quality Avtron Load Banks are constructed and tested to the highest qualitystandards. This is proven by our Industry exclusive ISO9001 Certification

Tolerance Avtron units have a minus 0% plus 5% overall load bank tolerance.Competitive load banks have a plus/minus 5% tolerancetherefore

Avtron guarantees nameplate power rating, competitive units may or

may not be able to provide the full rated kilowatts.

Construction Avtron uses aluminized steel construction for superior corrosion andheat protection. Competitive units typically use cheaper galvanized

steel, which corrodes and absorbs heat quickly.

Elements Load elements are the most important part of a load bank and Avtron

manufacturers its own. This insures consistent quality and proper wattdensity.Avtron Helidyneelements are designed to operate at

approximately 50% of alloy rating which means a cooler running

element and longer load bank life. Competitors purchase resistors from

outside suppliers and cannot control the quality of supplier goods. This

results in elements that typically run hotter, which fatigues elements and

all internal load bank components.

Paint Avtron uses a durable polyester powder coat finish. This powder coatfinish provides superior corrosion protection over the competitive units

(which typically use a wet spray on finish).

CoolingAvtron properly sizes cooling fans and CFM based on actual load bank

KW. This insures proper element cooling and longer load bank life. Our

competitors will use the same CFM for a wide range of different KW

load banks. This results in higher KW competitive load banks operating

at very high internal temperatures.

Service Avtron maintains a load bank service department and stocks commonparts in the rare event of component failure.

The Freedom Load Bank gives users

the freedomof a high capacity load in

an ultra-compact package. The load

bank is available in three standard

versions including:

1.) 100 KW at 480 VAC, 3 phase,

60 Hz and 93.75 KW at 240 VAC,

3 phase, 60 Hz or

2.) 100 KW at 208 VAC, 3 phase,

60 Hz or

3.) 50.5 KW at 208 VAC, 3 phase,

4 wire, 60 Hz

This versatile load bank weighs

only 105 lbs. [48 kg] and is less than

half the weight and size of traditional

load banks of similar capacity. The

load bank features horizontal air

discharge to provide a low profile

design. Quick-connect load terminals

and simple operation allow the load

bank to be set up and operated by

a single technician, saving valuable

time in the field.

The load bank controls and cooling

fans are powered by any standard

120 VAC, single phase wall outlet with

detachable line cord provided. An inte-

gral control panel is provided for load

bank operation and includes the nec-

essary controls and status indicators.

The Freedom Load Bank features

the new standard in Digital Metering

which includes the Avtron AdvancedDigital Monitoring System (ADMS).

The ADMS meter provides faceplate

digital display of Volts, Amps, Fre-

quency, and KW. The Communicator

EXT Data Logging Software allows

Real Time Data Acquisition and trend-

ing of all meter parameters from your

Laptop PC or PDA. An Infrared/USB

interface cable is included for Plug

and Play convenience.

The Freedom Load Bank is ideal for

SPECIFICATIONS:

CONSTRUCTION:A compact aluminized steel enclosure with

screened inlet and exhaust openings. Four swivel casters pro-

vide mobility. Heavy duty lifting handles are also provided.

CONTROL POWER:The load bank requires control power

of 120 VAC, single phase, 60 Hz (line cord provided).

COOLING:The resistive elements are air cooled by four

high velocity muffin fans for quiet operation.

CONTROLS:The operator control panel includes a MASTER

LOAD ON-OFF switch, load step ON-OFF industrial toggle

switches, a BLOWER ON-OFF switch, and a

LOAD VOLTAGE selector switch (Dual Volt-

age model only).

DIGITAL METERING:Avtron Advanced Digi-

tal Monitoring System (ADMS) is provided

for display of Volts, Amps, Frequency, and

KW. ADMS also includes Communicator

EXT Data Logging Software.

SAFETY CIRCUITS:The Freedom Load Bank features main

line circuit fusing, wrong voltage protection (Dual Voltage

model only), and overtemperature protection.

The ADMS provides 3-line digital dis-

play of Voltage, Current, Frequency, and

Power Measurements. The large 0.56

extra bright LEDs allow the user toclearly monitor the meter display under

any condition, 24/7. The meter faceplate

has an optical IrDA port for data transfer

and comes complete with a separately

supplied IrDA/USB adapter. The Commu-

nicator EXT Data Logging Software,

Operating Instructions, and IrDA drivers

are provided on CD-ROMs.

Communicator EXT software provides

Real-Time Monitoring and Data Acquisi-

tion from customer PC or PDA. Meter

parameters are captured from the optical

IrDA port and downloaded to your PC or

PDA with the IrDA/USB supplied adapter.
