Muslims who live in Britain are ofen asked about whether they eel Britishfirst or Muslim first, whom their allegiance is towards and how loyal theyare to the country in which they reside. Some Imams in the UK have made

statements saying that there is a long tradition o Muslims fighting orBritain rom the time o the British Empire, who have even given their lieor the sake o Queen and country and that there is in act no contradictionbetween being British and Muslim and indeed it is even admirable and anIslamic character and duty to show support or the regime under which youlive by being part o their army or police or helping them against Muslimscalling or Shariah, because they grant you protection or your lie and

wealth. Tis booklet will highlight the grave errors in these ideas and exposethem or the lies that they evidently are!

1.1 THE CONCEPT OF ISLAMIC BROTHERHOOD

1.0 INTRODUCTION

It is an essentialelement o anyMuslims belie thatthere is a brotherhoodo Muslims worldwidethat is maniestedin the statemento the MessengerMuhammad whenhe said that we are

a unique Ummahworldwide, our land is

one, our war is one, our peace is one, our honour is one and that any one ous can represent all o us.Te maniestation o this is to love or the sake o Allah those we areinormed that we must love and to hate or the sake o Allah those we aretold to hate, to ally or the sake o Allah with those who we told to allywith and to distance ourselves or the sake o Allah rom those we are toldto distance ourselves rom. Te same will also apply to concepts such as

support and respect. Te Messenger Muhammad (saw) said that this is thestrongest bond o belie.Te result o such brotherhood and love amongst Muslims should meanthat or a practising Muslim any other bonds such as nationalism, tribalism,patriotism, interest bonds, bonds based on colour or race are eitherinsignificant or merely ways to describe ones background and lineage.Te Messenger Muhammad (saw) inormed us that there is no differencebetween black or white, between the Arab and non-Arab, except on the basiso earing Allah and hence abiding by his commands and prohibitions. Inaddition he said that no one o us is a believer until he loves or his brother

what he loves or himsel and that a Muslim is not the one who oppresseshis brother, lets him down or hands him over to the disbelievers.

Muslims. Allah (SW) says in the Quran:O Believers, do not take the Jews and Christians as an alliance, they areonly allies to each other, and whosoever allies with them, he is one o them,

and Allah does not guide the oppressors. [EMQ 5: 51]

1.2 THE ISLAMIC VERDICT OF BEING IN THE

BRITISH ARMY OR POLICE

Tis alliance with the Kuaar (disbelievers) can be one o two; either theywill be sinul i they stand with the Kuaar or they will become apostatesi they engage in fighting against Muslims. Some Muslims in the Britisharmy participate with them in fighting against their Muslim brothers inAghanistan. Tis is clear naked aggression against all Muslims, and Muslimsare obliged to reject it and resist them as a matter o obligation to remove theoccupation.As or those Muslims who join the army, they will thereby be sinul andi any one o them fights side-by-side with the UK and US orces againstMuslims, they will become apostates, being at war, as they are, with Islamand Muslims, and their lie and wealth will no longer have the sanctity o

Muslims under the Shariah. Tey will be treated like the disbelievers as clearenemies to Islam and Muslims. Moreover i they die in battle they will dieoutside o the old o Islam, and they will never be dignified in their deathnor buried with the Muslims.Tereore we warn the Muslims wherever they are, particularly thoseMuslims in the British army, not to offer any support, moral, financial,militarily or physical in the onslaught against Islam and Muslims anywherein the world, though the enemies may attempt to take Muslims onto theirside. Allah (SW) designated people in this Ummah that will direct othersthat go astray, May Allah protect us all.And or those who go to fight Muslims in Aghanistan, remember that theProphet (saw) orbade Muslims rom pointing even a small knie at anotherMuslim, even as a joke, when he (saw) said:

Whoever points a small knie or piece o metal jokingly towards his Muslimbrother, the angels will curse him and he will never smell paradise.Let alone being involved in carrying machine guns, and driving tanks withthe US and British army, arresting and imprisoning Muslims or fighting andkilling them. Tose rom whose hand Muslims will never be secure, althoughthe Messenger Muhammad (saw) said:A Muslim is the one rom whose hand and tongue his Muslim brother is

secure1.3 BEING A BRITISH MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT IS AN

ACT OF APOSTASY

As or those ministers o theBritish parliament such as KhalidMahmood and Seyeeda Warsi, theyare apostates rom Islam who helpto rule and judge by other than whatAllah (SW) has revealed, as Allah(SW) says in the Quran:

And whoever does not rule/judge

by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers. [EMQ5: 44]Tese are the ones who play God in the parliament and thereore seek tochallenge the sovereignty o Allah (SW). Allah (SW) is clear that onlyIslam can be implemented:

O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those inauthority among you, and i you differ in anything then reer it back to Allahand his Messenger i you believe in Allah and the hereafer [EMQ 4:59]1.4 SPYING ON MUSLIMS OR WORKING WITH PRE-

VENT WILL MAKE YOU A KAAFIR!

As or those who are allied with the British regime and who take money towork or them as spies, whether through the Prevent mechanism or as theirpolice or as Imams in the mosques or so called leaders doing the Britishgovernments bidding:Tese people spy on Muslims, fight them and even try to deceive them. Weask them to give up their apostasy immediately. For Allah (SW) says:

And rom mankind there are some who say: We believe in Allah and theLast day while in act they do not believe. Tey think to deceive Allah and

1.5 NATIONALISM IS HARAM (PROHIBITED)

those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, but they perceivenot. [EMQ 2: 8-9]One o their deceptions is that they claim to be believers, yet they spy onMuslims or they go to fight them, or they report against them to the Kuaar.I they claim to do so as no more than a job or being law abiding citizens,we remind them o the saying o the Messenger Muhammad (saw), whosaid:Whoever earns a bite o ood by reporting or spying on Muslims, Allah willeed him the equivalent in the hellfire, and whoever wears clothes earnedrom spying against Muslims, Allah will clothe him with hellfire. [Narrated

in Sahih Al-Bukhari, in Kitab ul-Adab]

One o the major diseases in the worldtoday is racism which is rooted in bondswhich Islam has demeaned and madeinsignificant. Since the time o the

Messenger Muhammad (saw) Muslimshave sadly been affected by manydiseases themselves and gradually, overthe centuries, alse barriers betweenMuslims based on such nationalismand tribalism have torn the concepto Ummah apart, until Muslims are

today 55 countries, each with their ownnational flag, national anthem, theirown apostate leader, their own land andarmy.

Tis is in act completely contrary to the revelation and there are manyverses in the Quran and statements o the Messenger Muhammad whichprohibited calling or or fighting on behal o nationalism, tribalism or

patriotism. o mention just one authentic narration in the collection o AbuDaoud, the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said:

He is not one o us who calls or asabiyyah (nationalism), or who fights orasabiyyah or who dies or asabiyyah.In addition to this sadly many Muslims in the world have allied with non-Islamic regimes against Muslims such as the British, merely because theylive among them they are encouraged to fight against Muslims, arrest them,hand them over to the British regime and also spy on them and violatetheir sanctity all in the alse name o loyalty to the regime. Tese are actso apostasy and are capable o taking these so-called Muslims outside theold o Islam, with the result that the rights o love, allegiance, support andrespect rom ellow Muslims will be withdrawn rom them.

Moreover, it is incumbent upon Muslims to strive to live together underone leader, where only Islamic law and order is implemented, this is knownas the Khilaah system o governance. Te concept o the unity o Muslimsunder one leader and the love, allegiance, support and respect betweenMuslims, transcends any differences that Muslims may have in terms otheir colour or background or place or birth or passport etc...

1.6 WHO ARE THE BRITISH ANYWAY?

Te animosity o the British governmenttowards Islam and Muslims is not a newphenomenon. Ever since the days o thecrusades the British have been trying todestroy the political power base o theMuslims and take them away rom theQuran.

It was the British who managed toestablish an imperial power whereonce the Shariah was implemented,such as in India, not to mention Aden,Egypt and Persia. When in charge the

Muslims were subjugated and many o the scholars were in act killed, as

in the 1400 slaughtered in 1857 under the excuse o dealing with traitorsin India (Ghadaar), but who were really sincere Muslims ed up with

being oppressed and who wanted toreclaim their land rom the British andre-establish the Khilaah system ogovernance.It was also the British who were heavilyinvolved in the slave trade, many owhom were Muslims rom Arica soldand owned as merchandise, to urthertheir economic greed and perpetuatetheir alse sense o superiority over othernations and cultures.

Not content to occupy Muslim land and to siphon off their resourcesor themselves the British even had the impunity to give away land thatnever belonged to them in the first place. Such as under the BalourDeclaration o 1917 where Palestine, occupied and belonging to Muslims,was euphemistically called a land without people or a people without aland, and then given to migrant Jews to begin the wholesale exodus andmurder o the indigenous Muslim population. Tis illegitimate child wasthen nurtured by the Americans and adopted by the United Nations.Under the Sykes-Picot agreement o 1916 the British openly andsimultaneously supported the Arabs and the urks against each other butwere really not concerned with the welare o either. Tey invoked Arab prideand also urkish nationalism so that the Khilaah was torn apart, eventually

collapsing completely on the

3rd o March 1924, but notuntil the British managed tocarve out o it Mesopotamia,the gul, Egypt and Persia asper the 1916 treaty o betrayalwith their abettors the French.

More recent examples o theBritish crusader mentalityagainst Muslims can be seen

in the unilateral bombing o Sudan and Aghanistan together with theAmericans, afer the Kenyan and anzanian US embassy bombings in August1998. And o course the current example where it is really only the Britishwho have a sizeable orce occupying Aghanistan, apart rom the Americans.

Te historical Britishcrusade has not beenlimited to physicalaggression. Teyare also in the habito injecting alseconcepts into Muslims

in order to keep themsubdued. O coursethose who have theaudacity to give anyatwa against them or

expose them are either killed, tortured, extradited or banned. Sheikh AbuQatadahs extradition to Jordan, Sheikh Abu Hamzas extradition to Americaand Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammads ban rom returning to the UK afergoing on holiday to Lebanon are good examples.In addition, the British regime has on its own statute books the most draconianlaws that are used almost exclusively against the Muslim community wholive in the UK. Such laws include stop and search, glorification o terrorism,religious hatred laws and proscription, not to mention the prevent strategyintended to prevent Muslims practising Islam and trying to orce them to

reject undamental Islamic ideas such as Jihad, Khilaah and implementingor calling or the Shariah. Tis is on top o their involvement in torture andabuse as has been widely evidenced through rendition, Guantanamo Bay,Bagram air base, Abu Ghraib etcFalse concepts used by the likes o David Cameron and Teresa May tohelp oppress practising Muslims include the barbarity o the concept oJihad in Islam, about the modernity o having an identity or nationality andthe backwardness o the Muslim concept o an Ummah world-wide andthe backwardness o the Khilaah system o governance when compared

1.7 CONCLUSION

Te British governmentknows o the giant whichwill arise when the artificialborders which they havehelped erect (throughsuch mechanisms as the

UN) collapse. Tey knowthat it is an obligation orthe Muslims to be unitedunder one leader and toshare their resources inorder to look afer andmanage the affairs o allthe Muslims world-wide.

Tey know that a united Ummah (as was the case beore the Khilaah wasdestroyed) will eradicate the hegemony o man-made law (i.e. democracyand reedom) and its oppression once and or all. Tey know that theireconomic, military, ideological and strategic interests will be affected inMuslim countries, hence they continue to plant their puppets over Muslimsto look afer these interests and are even willing to use orce to stop Muslims

uniting as in Aghanistan and in Iraq.Muslims must be aware that the idea that you are British beore Muslim or a

Modern day apologists and deeatists include Azam amimi, HamzaYuse and Yuse Qaradawi.

British Muslim as opposed to simply a Muslim is another attempt to divideand rule the Muslims through pushing corrupted concepts and it thereoremust be exposed.Tere is no value in the idea o British-ness or indeed any other nationalism

and Muslims must condemn all orms o nationalism and patriotism etc...and say that it is in act an act o kur (disbelie) to stand with the non-Muslim armies and police and we must insist that the identity o a Muslimis just this i.e. Muslim wherever he is. Tis is maniestly the truth accordingto the Quran and the Sunnah (i.e. the sayings, actions and consent) o theMessenger Muhammad (saw) as elaborated in this booklet.
