We look forward to welcoming to you to the BCIS Autumn meeting on Friday 5 th October organised this year by the “Scottish Chapter”. The meeting will be held in the Beardmore Centre for Health Sciences at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Glasgow. The hospital has a fully integrated 4* hotel which will provide overnight accommodation and host the pre-meeting dinner on the Thursday evening. Registration at the meeting is free of charge for BCIS members, and we encourage you to register early, as places are limited by venue space.

The programme will focus on the presentation of data from recently published or ongoing clinical trials and consist of 3 sessions:

We have also scheduled a short live case transmission utilising our built-in “live-links” system. A particular highlight of the meeting will be the presentation of the 2011 BCIS audit data by Peter Ludman.

As described elsewhere in this booklet, Glasgow has excellent national transport links, so please join us; for the day, for two days, or consider staying on over the weekend to enjoy some of the leisure and cultural opportunities that the west coast of Scotland, and Glasgow in particular, have to offer.
