Winter Show 2014Stretcholt Equestrian Centre
• The 2014 Winter Show was held at Stretcholt Equestrian Centre on 15th/16th February 2014. We scheduled to run various classes ranging from Novice & Small Ponies to 1.15m Opens, including Scope Qualifiers, and the Blue Chip Haygain Hay Steamers Diamond Championship Qualifier.
• Unfortunately due to the weather we had to cancel Ponies on Saturday, but still ran the Seniors on Sunday.
• On the Sunday we only jumped 89 first rounds, compared to 2013 where we jumped 132, this could be down to the difference in schedules and qualifiers.
• As you can see from the accounts we managed to make a profit of £4.60.
• We didn’t schedule a Winter Show in 2015 & have not scheduled to run one in 2016.
Summer Show 2014Kings Sedgemoor Equestrian Centre
• The 2014 Summer Show was held at Kings Sedgemoor Equestrian Centre on 12th/13th July 2014. We had various classes ranging from Novice & Small Ponies to Large Opens, including Scope Qualifiers.
• On Senior Day we jumped 195 first rounds, which was an improvement on the previous 2 years.
• On Junior Day we jumped 99 first rounds, which was down on 2013 but similar to 2012.
• As you can see from the accounts we made a profit of £1,215.78.

Training/Senior AcademyWe brought back training for Seniors this year after a long break.
The Sessions with Jayne Smart at Stertcholt Equestrian Centre haven’t proved popular, Feedback has suggested this is because Stretcholt doesn’t have a full set of fences.
The first session with Warren Lamperd at Hill House Farm had a good attendance, but not so much the second session, again Feedback suggested the location of Hill House Farm was an issue.
Moving forward:• Do area members want us to continue trying to hold Area Training/start a Senior
Academy? • If so where do members want us to hold training? • Who do members want us to hold training with? • What is the idea time to hold training, evening, weekends, weekdays?
