A study of the 20 Largest Companies in Sweden
• The purpose of the Swedish study is to assess how well Swedish companies measure up with the largest international companies
• The study used the same method as was used by TI-S
• The study was based on pulicly available information only
Anti-Corruption Programmes
• Zero-tolerance commiment• Compliance with laws commitment• Leadership support• Code applies to all employees• Code applies to agents• Code applies to suppliers• Training programme in place
• Gifts, hospitality, travel• Prohibition of facilitation payments• Prohibition of retaliation for reporting• Confidential reporting channel• Regular programme monitoring• Disclosure of political contributions
Recommendations to companies
• Identify risks for corruption• Make anti-corruption programmes publicly
available• Publish exhaustive lists of subsidiaries, and
other related entities• Publish individual financial accounts for each
country of operations
Recommendations to Government
• Encourage companies to develop anti-corruption programmes
• Equire companies to report on a country-by-country basis
