    Brightwood Golf & Country Club is nestled in the heart of Dartmouth

    just two minutes from the MacDonald Bridge. Our banquet facilities are

    available year-round and are able to accommodate groups up to one

    hundred sixty (160) people for sit down dinners and two hundred (200)

    for a stand up reception.

    Amidst our eighteen hole golf course is our clubhouse. Our Ballroom has a

    wonderful floor to ceiling brick fireplace, a picturesque view of our

    eighteenth green and an impressive view of the Halifax Bridge. The

    smaller Vidito Room also has the same scenic view.

  • Catering & Meeting Information Room Rentals:

    Ballroom: Three Hundred Fifty dollars ($350) Monday through Thursday and Five

    hundred dollars ($550) Friday through Sunday. Vidito Room: Two hundred

    Twenty Five Dollars ($245). Room rental includes standard white linen for table

    coverings.

    Socan Fee: (With any form of music played)

    Fifty Nine Dollars & Seventeen Cents ($63.49)

    ReSound Fee: (With any form of music played) Twenty Six Dollars & Sixty-Three Cents ($26.63)

    Audio Visual Equipment:

    Screen & projector One Hundred Dollars ($100)

    Linen Rentals:

    Cream color floor length table cloths ($5.00 per table)

    Cream color chair covers ($2.50 per chair)

    Ceremony Fee:

    With the Ballroom Rental & Reception ($100.00)

    The Ballroom cannot be rented for a Ceremony only

  • Catering & Meeting Information

    Guarantee Policy:

    For all food service functions we require one week’s notice of “guarantee” for the

    number of guests. We will provide the setting based on your final guarantee and

    bill you for the number of the guarantee at the minimum. Should additional guests

    be served over the guarantee, these will be added to your billing.

    Meeting rooms that have been booked more than 30 days in advance are subject to

    a cancellation fee of 50% of the contracted rental unless cancellation is received 30

    days prior to the function date.

    Liquor & Function Services:

    Due to liability insurance, our liquor service license does not permit alcoholic

    beverages to be brought into our meeting rooms from private sources, including

    donations and gifts. This also applies to all food requirements which must be

    provided by Brightwood with the exception of a wedding cake. In addition to our

    enclosed menus, we would be pleased to discuss any special items you may require.

  • Bar Services:

    Catering & Meeting Information

    Bar closing time may vary according to time of function.

    Bar service ends at 1:00 AM Friday and Saturday, 12:00 AM Monday to

    Thursday and Sunday. Alcohol purchased from the Brightwood bar must be

    consumed in the clubhouse or on the patio off the main dining room. The alcohol

    must be opened by your server as per Liquor Control Act and the Licensing

    Regulations of Nova Scotia.

    Billing & Deposits:

    If direct billing is required, an account will be established. All invoices are payable

    upon receipt. For social and private functions, a $500 deposit as well as a

    Function Contract is required at time of booking confirmation, the balance is due

    three days before the function. Deposits received for weddings are non-refundable.

    Cancellations not received at least thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled function

    will be subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations not received seven (7) business

    days prior to the scheduled function will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of

    all anticipated charges.

    Billing & Deposits Continued:

    Tax & Gratuity: All pricing, with the exception of room rental fees, and services

    are subject to 15% HST and 15% gratuity charge.

    Pricing/Contract: All prices are guaranteed 30 days prior to the function date. A

    contract must be signed in advance upon confirmation of the booking.

    Damages:

    The Organizing party agrees to be responsible for any damages done to the premises

    during the period of time the patron, his/her guests, invitees, employees,

    independent contractors, or other agents are under patron’s control, or the control

    of any independent contractor hired. Guest List: Nova Scotia Liquor licensing

    policies require that a “guest list” be provided and available on the day of the

    event.
