ABOUT KIDS’ CHANCE OF PA

The mission of Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania, Inc. (Kids’ Chance of PA) is to provide scholar-ship grants for college and vocational educa-tion to children of Pennsylvania workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a work-related accident resulting in financial need.

The hardships created by the death or serious disability of a parent often include financial ones, making it difficult for deserving young people to pursue their educational dreams.

Brighter Futures5K Run/Walk

RUN/WALK DESCRIPTION

Professionally timed event. Run or walk on a well-marked, accurately measured course.

The course uses the Walking Path that encircles Manor Middle School and Hambright Elemen-tary, and links with a path in the adjacent John G. Herr Park. It is paved and mostly flat, with a few gradual upgrades.

Dogs on a leash are welcome! They are permit-ted on the course but NOT in the building used for registration and restrooms. To ensure a enjoyable event for all, humans and puppers should note the registration instructions.

All dogs must be on a short leash (6’ or less), preferably non-retractable, at all times. Please keep Fido close to you in the crowd to avoid potential conflicts with runners and other dogs.• No females in heat. All dogs must be current on vaccinations. • Event officials reserve the right to deny entry or to excuse aggressive dogs. • Be prepared to clean up after your dog.

Waiver and Release:I know that walking or running a race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume any or all risks associated with running, walking or attending the race including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the affects of the weather and the condition of the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry fee, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge Eastern Alliance Insurance Group, ProAssurance Corporation, all municipalities in which the race is held, the race committee, volunteers, any and all sponsors including their agents, employees, assigns or anyone acting for on their behalf, or anyone else associated in any way with the race, from any or all claims or liability for death, personal injury or property damage of any kind of nature what so ever arising out of, or in the course of, my participation in this event(s).
