56th National Pharmacy Week Celebration

Indian Pharmaceutical Association- Anand Branch of Gujarat State celebrated

National Pharmacy Week from 29th Jan to 3rd Feb 2018 at Anand Pharmacy

College Campus on the theme of “Know your medicine: Ask your

Pharmacist”.



Every year the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) celebrates the ‘National

Pharmacy Week’ (NPW) all over India in the third week of November. IPA has

been recommending that the activities and celebrations based on the theme

should continue the whole year round, with enthusiasm and zeal. This will help

us to give more time to our efforts, and also sustain it round the year. The theme

was: “Know your medicine: Ask your Pharmacist”.

Students actively participated and the whole National Pharmacy Week was

coordinated by Ms. Veena Patel and Ms. Mansi Dholakia, Assistant Professor,

Anand Pharmacy College under guidance of Dr. Tejal R. Gandhi, Principal,

Anand Pharmacy College. Smt. Jyotsana ben Patel, Hon. Secretary, Shri

Ramkrishna Seva Mandal had congratulated all team members and students for

active participation in events.



Following events were organized during National Pharmacy Week. Each event

was judged by two judges. External judges were also invited.

that their film will help

galvanize the masses to

demand change.

are ideal for reprint in

books, newsletters,

magazines,

brochures and print

ads. Cartoons

pertaining to

pharmaceuticals and

pharmacists are also

available for use in

digital as well and are

a great addition to

any Facebook page or

web page.



Elocution

Speaking on a single

topic for 5 minutes

might be difficult, but

not for these fiery

young guns, who had

the guts to take on the

judges and the

audience individually

and yet keep them

interested in their

speech.

Drug information is

provision of unbiased,

evidence-based and

critically evaluated

information about

medicines, in an

attempt to improve

patient care. Being a

Pharmacy students

they elaborate

medicine information

for betterment of

patients.



Apart from these events, students (Prachee Audichy, Aditya Bhatt, Sagar

Guorkar, Parth Shah, Divyesh Sakhiya, Hinal Mevada) of Anand Pharmacy

college performed theme based street play at Lambhvel (District Anand) &

Surasamal (District Kheda). IPA Anand local branch has kept exhibition on

Know your Medicine at these villages which covered various aspects of drug

usage such as dose regimen, adverse effects, contraindications, drug and food

interactions and specific indications.

As a part of National Pharmacy Week celebration, Dhruvil Patel, Urusha Malek,

Tofazzol Hossain & Margi Shah has given presentation on topic: “Know your

medicine: Ask your Pharmacist” to school students.
