NOTE: At new Durgawati station the IR junction point is as per the plan but due to some

land issue and other reasons, the IR junction point has been shifted about 2 Kms before the Sasaram station (MGS end) instead of at New Karwandia station. The meeting of Dir/PP with the IR took place on this and other issues on 4.9.2014 at MGS to exactly decide the IR Junction point.

At Pahleja , the IR station building coming in DFC alignment along with one SSP and microwave tower. All these are being shifted.

At new Karwandia, the station building is near completion. Ballast spread for yard. This DFC station is in front of the IR Karwandia station. Between IR junction point and the adjacent LC-38, one SSP is there but is not infringing the DFC alignment.

At LC-42 at Sasaram station at HWH end, the Aara line is diverging on DFC side. Same issue to be resolved at higher level. At present diamond crossing probably will be made.

Near Ganjkhwaja (IR station near MGS at SSM end), the RFO is proposed and from this location the DFC track will run from south to North of IR track.

EHT power line crossings are being done by the DFCCIL through separate open tender. Bid documents were under finalization.

At Present the OHE feed to the DFC line will be given from the IR TSS/Kudra.

The DFC SONE Bridge:

The Existing old Iron bridge was commissioned in 1900. At present the bridge is in operation with the CD.

The second IR bridge is commissioned adjacent to the existing bridge by the M/s AFFCON. The train operation on new bridge with three line is likely to be started in near future. This bridge is erected on pile foundation.

The DFC bridge will be third Railway bridge. The work is being executed by joint ventures of M/s ATEPL (Arvind Techno Enterprise Pvt. Ltd.) & M/s MGCPL (Mittal Group Construction Pvt. Ltd.). The work is started in Feb’2014.

The bridge is being erected on well foundation. The DFC/MGS unit chainage starts from center of the first abutment

(HWH end) of this bridge. The DFC bridge is having 92 piers and 2 abutment with a total length of 3.06 Kms.

Sh. Sumit Kumar, Exe(Civil) is looking after the bridge work from DFC side.

The salient features and milestones of the bridge is given in next slides.APM/EL/AII & ABR on 4-5.9.2014
