Amy Grace HewittMedia – Brief

Throughout my media work I have been given the task of creating a music video for a band/artist of my choice. To help save some time for myself I have chosen to create a music video for a local band called “Fire Drive Tiger”. The song I have chosen to create a music video for is “Let me hook up with your brother”.

The band consists of four members Katherine Brittain, Scott Hunter, Edward Skerry and Matthew Brand. The band is from my local town King’s Lynn. Their style of music is pop rock and their influences for their music are Abba.

I have came up with an idea for my music video and it consists of a teenage girl who is very confident in herself on boy front and goes around the town acting slightly slutty. In the music video there are going to be flashes of her on the floor beaten up with make up all smudged and looking fairly depressed (which is the look I am going for), these flashes are going to be flashing up when the girl is most confident in herself for example when she is chatting to a guy or putting on make up. My music video is going to take place in numerous locations and they are: a homely and welcoming home, town centre, a street and a school concert/party.

Whilst filming I will be having the band playing in the music video as well to help promote the band as well as adding effect to my video. I will be having the band playing their instruments. I would like to have the band playing in the street, with the main character walking past the band completely unaware that they’re there. The reason why I am planning on doing this is to show that she has no care as well not knowing what is going on around her.
