BRIDGE THE GAP IS A YOUTH-LED MENTORSHIP PROGRAM BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN YOUTH TRANSITIONING FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO POST-SECONDARY. BRIDGE THE GAP: Provides a safe place to build friendships with like-minded individuals Provides essential life and mental health skills (not taught in schools) Instills confidence Creates leaders Raises mental health awareness through education and practice Most importantly, lowers the risk of suicide OUR PROGRAM CURRICULUM CONSISTS OF: Youth (ages 13 to 24) gathering together in groups of 4 to 10 members, once a week. They will be guided to vote on a group leader, choose a community cause with a partnered local charity and launch a community fundraiser. All groups will be supervised by a peer mentor who will be there to host workshops, absolve conflicts and to provide guidance.
