Multiservice tactical brevity codes are codes used by various militaryir forces and air defense personnel. The codes procedure words, a typefvoice procedure, designed to convey complex information with a few

words.

his is a list of American standardized air-to-air, surface-to-air, and air-to-urface brevity code words. The scope is limited to those brevity codessed in multiservice operations and does not include words unique tongle service operations. While these codes are not authoritative in

ature, all services agree to their meanings. For example, "Bandit angels plus 5" means the bandit is 5,000 ft(1,500 m) above the pre-briefed angels altitude. (US Navy) Term meaning altitude in thousands offeet (ie Angels Five is 5,000 ft). Predominantly used in tailhook aviation around the aircraft carrier,in the shore-based ATC environment.
