Macht es glücklich?“ nein? dann Finger weg! das Leben ist einfach zu kurz für lang-weilige sofas. nur ein herausforderndes, superbequemes character sofa (oder Bett) in starken Farben kann die Lebens-qualität nachhaltig steigern und bleibt dabei auch fürs Auge interessant.

A teacher of yoga & meditation, Hartmut Bretz seeks to make people happy - even by making the "right" furniture for them. This is why he be-lieves that the question at the bedrock of every Bretz design should be: "Will this piece of furniture change my life? Will it make me happy?" If not then back away! The 28-year-old creative director has a clear motto that she lives by and that provides a source of motivation: “I work because I love this shit”. Carolin Fieber allows this creed to guide her in her quest for new designs, working together with the upholsterers in Gensingen (Rhine-Hesse) to constantly bring to life her eccentric creations and exclusive designs.

Norbert Bretz is the other half of the iconic “Bretz Brothers” duo, formed together with his brother Hartmut. For the creative business economist and father with a penchant for travelling, there is no doubt as to the overriding factor when it comes to furniture: emotions. Design begins in the mind, with dreams and imagination. He chooses to base his designs not on reason but on emotions, whether they are a sensation of gentle-ness or a jolt of wild exhilaration.

Man könnte hier ewig sitzen bleiben. durch den fein austarierten „goldenen“ schwung und die spezielle Polstertechnik des sofas entsteht ein intensiv entspanntes „Hangout-Gefühl“, das sich zum vollkommenen seelen-frieden steigert, wenn man sich auf der wunderbaren Breite von 2,14 m aus-streckt. The sofa’s finely balanced “golden” sway and special upholstery technique create an intensely relaxing “hangout feel”, which intensifies into complete peace of mind when you stretch out along the sofa’s glorious 2.14 metres. The 3-seater HANGOUT sofa, with its cast aluminium feet, gives the impres-sion of floating and has a silky-smooth texture. Its multifaceted ease is borne out of its curved, criss-crossing lines. Daydreaming has never been so easy.
