INTRODUCTION TO BEREAVEMENT

The bible talks about death and subsequent breathing of many people. I in the Old Testament we read the scripture of Joseph refusing to be comforted and David grieving over the lost of his infant son and the death in battle of his grown son Absalom. There is also Jeremiah lamenting the death of king Josiah.

WHAT IS BEREAVMENT?According to the World Book Dictionary

(2003) “Bereavement counseling is psychological counseling offered to the surviving family members who have lost a relative.

The cause of bereavementGrief (Bereavement) is a special kind of

separation anxiety generally take some time for people to accept death according to (Mark 1998)

(Collins 1988) postulates the view that grieving may be porlonged and more difficult (especially) some one young
