Siemens
Siemens is a global powerhouse focusing on the areas of electrification, automation
and digitalisation, that has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality,
reliability and internationality for more than 165 years. One of the world’s largest
producers of energy-efficient, resource-saving technologies, Siemens is a leading
supplier of systems for power generation and transmission as well as medical
diagnosis. In infrastructure and industry solutions the company plays a pioneering
role. As of 30 September 2015, we had around 348,000 employees in more than
200 countries. In fiscal 2015, we generated revenues of €75.6 billion. Siemens has
been in Australia and New Zealand for 143 years and now employs about 2,000
people.
Our technology can be found behind the scenes supporting critical infrastructure,
and almost every industry. The company’s fingerprint can be found supporting
everything from generating efficient and clean energy through to advanced medical
imaging and diagnostics equipment. You will find Siemens automation, electrification
and digitalisation technology in everything from the lane change controls on the
Sydney Harbour Bridge, through to energy efficiency at the MCG and even hi-tech
simulation used to help protect the Great Barrier Reef. Significant industries ranging
from oil and gas to mining, roads and rail, food and beverage, manufacturing,
buildings and construction, pharmaceuticals, water and energy utilities and even the
latest wind farms being built in South Australia all rely on Siemens technologies.
Siemens has a number of MoUs signed with stakeholders including Engineers
Australia, Simulation Australasia and the South Australian Government; as well as an
MoU with Defence Science and Technology Group and Queensland University of
Technology to advance High Temperature Superconductors. Siemens has
contributed over $AU5 million of technology and software in support of these MoUs.
Other recent investments include new Service Centres built in Rockhampton, Perth
Airport, and Tonsley Technology Precinct in South Australia. With a global view on
the trends and changes affecting the world now and in the future, Siemens actively
supports local industry, governments and stakeholders to understand and prepare
for key changes such as the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), the transition
to intelligent infrastructure and the transition to a sustainable energy future.

Deloitte
Change has arrived in transport. You can see it in the pace of public sector
investment in intelligent streets and digital railways, in automakers’ focus on next
generation vehicles and smart mobility services, and in the widening recognition that
the “information everywhere” world will utterly disrupt the transportation status quo.
The digital age will empower the travelling customer and disrupt the way transport
providers operate and manage their services. It will emphasise the need for transport
systems to intelligently integrate and facilitate passenger journeys. To achieve this
the public and private sectors, from government to automotive manufacturers and
technology companies, must innovate and think differently, working together to
ensure the growth and sustainability of Australia’s transport systems into the future.
With a deep understanding of both the current and future themes and technologies
disrupting the transport sector, Deloitte works across the industry enabling public
and private clients to deliver a 21st century transport system for all Australians. We
provide expertise across the full lifecycle of transport assets and service delivery to
ensure our clients get the most out of transport investments, working alongside them
to future proof our road, rail, air, and sea transport systems.
As one of Australia’s leading professional services firms, ranking tenth on the 2018
Australian Financial Review’s latest Most Innovative Companies list, Deloitte is
