    CONCLUSIONS

    The volume of the Brazilian exports toGreece have not changed significantly inthe past years.

    In the last decade, the total Brazilianexported to Greece represents around1% of total exports.

    In 2012, 80% of the total exported toGreece were concentrated in coffee(47%), tobacco (15%), sugar (17%) andsoya (3%).

    Greek exports to Brazil almost triplicatedin the period 2009 2011 (US$ 34million in 2009, US$ 67,8 million in 2010

    and US$ 103,1 million in 2011). There was an almost 60% decline in

    Greek export in 2012 (US$ 42 million),compared to 2011 (US$ 103,1 million).

    In 2012, the mains products exportedfrom Greece to Brazil were marble andtravertine, cements, belts reinforced

    metal, razors, olive oil, electric fuses,magnesium carbonate, electricalcircuits, canned peaches, sulfur, ironblades, electric accumulators, booksand brochures, irrigation systems, airfilters

    TOURISM BRAZIL - GREECE

    According to the World TourismOrganization, Brazil received a total of 5million tourists in 2008 and 4,8 million in2009.

    Brazil total tourists distribution by continentof arrival was the following: Europe (33%),

    Amrcia (60%), Asia (4%), Africa (2%) andOceania (1%).

    As regardas to the distribution of arrivals bycountry of origin, the largest number oftourists in 2009 were from Argentina

    (25,2%), UE (12,7%), Italy (5,2%),Germany (4,4%) and France (4,49%)

    In 2008, 10,3 thousand Greeks visitedBrazil. In 2009, this number was reduced to7,5 thousand people. This represents 0,1%of total Brazilian international arrivals.

    According to the Hellenic StatisticsServices, in the period Jan-Dec/ 2011, 14.6million tourists visited Greece. Thisrepresents an increased of 10,4%compared with the same period in 2010(13.2 million).

    The total tourists distribution for 2011 wasthe following: Europe (89,2%), Asia (5,4%),

    Africa (0,2%), America (4,4%) and Oceania(0,8%).

    As regards to the distribution of arrivals bycountry of origin, the largest number ofarrivals in 2011 came from Germany(13,6%), the United Kingdom (10,7%) and

    France (7,0%) In 2010, 34 thousands Brazilian tourists

    visited Greece. In 2011, there was a53,2% increase in this number (52thousand Brazilian tourists).

    Brazilian tourists represent 0,3% of thetotal tourists in Greece.
