The Zonda wind, or viento zonda is a term for a

warm wind particular to the eastern slope of the

Andes mountain range in Argentina. The Zonda

is a dry wind that comes from the cold ocean air,

warmed by descent from the crest of the mountain

range over looking the Mendoza Valley.

This is where the cane is grown for our Zonda

reeds, our name influenced by the regional winds,

which now we proudly use for our instruments.

The philosophy behind Zonda is simply to produce

brass and woodwind instruments and accessories

we are proud of. Products we want to use ourselves

that have features and a personality we weren’t

able to find in other brands as students or

professional players.

Our instruments represent the passion and

expertise within our company and demonstrate

The 101 has a precision cut head joint which helps improve the response and tone. Beginners as well as more experienced players will appreciate the focus and power they can achieve.

Accessories for each Zonda instrument are carefully selected under the same rigorous standards that the instruments themselves must meet. The clothes are of the highest quality, all mouthpieces are band room-tested, and the cases are designed specifically for the line. Zonda clarinets and saxophones also come with BG products as the standard. Flex ligatures provide a solid foundation

for genuine Zonda reeds and all saxophones come with a BG Flex strap. A full box of Zonda reeds comes standard with all clarinets and saxophones allowing beginning players to experience what a great reed can do for them from their first notes.
