Brand with the Environment, Brand with…

Be among the first to put what will soon be one of the most recognizable environmental symbols in the world on your product:

The EcoPure Brand

Page 2: Brand with the Environment.

What does the EcoPure brand mean?

Yes, most people would agree that modern plastics are a blessing. They have made the lives of billions of people better.

They keep food fresher and safer. They’ve helped provide shoes, clothes and other necessities

at a price most can afford. They make medical miracles possible. They save fuel by making cars and planes lighter. They are in almost everything we use daily.

But plastics can also be a curse, because they’re not biodegradable

Landfills are overflowing. Plastics can take 1,000 years or more to break down.

The oceans are choking. When thrown away today discarded plastic will still be on the ocean floor generations from now.

They never return to the cycle of life—even when “degraded,” plastics just become smaller pieces of artificial matter.

Until now.

EcoPure makes plastic BIODEGRADEABLE.Yes, that’s right. EcoPure makes most common plastics-the stuff bottles and bags and shoes and toys and millions of other products are made out of-biodegradable. Now you can keep the blessing of plastics and lose the curse.

Every day more and more people want to save the planet. They want the products they buy every day to be environmentally friendly. And now you can market to them—you can put the symbol of biodegradable plastic on your product—by joining our branding program.

That’s good for the planet. That’s good for your children and your children’s children. And that’s good for your company! Because your customers will thank you... with their patronage.

Just what is EcoPure and how does it work?EcoPure is not a new kind of plastic or some starch-based substitute. It’s an additive that you mix with raw plastic before your final product is made. For most products you’ll use less than 1 pound of EcoPure for every 100 pounds of plastic. It comes as a small pellet (like most resins do) and is easier to use than a color concentrate. The only change in your production process will be mixing in the EcoPure. And best of all, your final product won’t change in any way that affects its performance:

Its just as flexible (or just as rigid). Its just as easy to print or color or emboss. Its cost hasn’t been dramatically increased. It just as safe. Its life cycle remains the same.

In other words, your “new” product (made with EcoPure) is essentially identical to your old product. No endless search for some “miracle” starch product that doesn’t exist. No revamping your machine processes, no worrying about flaking or fading. No real change at all.

But with one big difference. When your product has finished it’s useful life—whether that’s months as a plastic bottle or years as a car fender—and makes it’s way to a landfill, it breaks down. Yes, that’s right. Your plastic product made using EcoPure is now BIODEGRADEABLE! Friendly microbes love plastic made with EcoPure. And it breaks down whether it’s put in a compost pile or a landfill!

For the actual processes involved as well as our extensive testing results, see the Tech Talk section on the back page of this brochure.

It means your company is now part of the solution instead of the problem when it comes to the disposal of plastic.

Now your plastic products will give back when disposed!Plastic products made with EcoPure not only cease to be burden when discarded, they actually create benefits. As they breakdown, they produce HUMUS and METHANE!

Humus (aka Bio-Mass) can be used to grow plants. And the Methane can be used as a fuel to reduce our dependence on coal and oil.

Did you know that this year 20% of the electricity in the State of New Jersey will be generated by using Methane from Landfills.(*need source)

And the use of that methane as an energy source is rapidly expanding. Right now that Methane comes mainly from the breakdown of paper and food refuse in landfills. But with EcoPure, your plastic product will also break down into methane in the landfill!

For more information on specific processes and bi-products, see the Tech Talk section on the back page of this brochure.

Does it Work in All Plastics?Ecopure works in the most common plastics in use today. It has extensively tested in the following type of plastics and the principal products they are used to make, including:

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) - used to make beverage bottles.

PE (polyethylene-low and high density) – used to make a wide variety of product, including plastic bags, bottles and bottle caps.

PP (Polypropylene) – used to make, among other things, plastic sheeting.

PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) – used to make everything from toys to garden hoses to electrical wire insulation.

EVA (Ethylene vinyl acetate) – a rubbery kind of plastic particularly suited to making running shoes.

This is just a partial list. We are constantly adding customers and products, and our testing is ongoing, so in all likelihood, we already have extensive test results on similar products to yours. Our sales and technical staff would be happy to work with you on verifying that your product is a candidate for EcoPure.

What’s In It For My Company?Besides knowing that you are now part of the solution instead of the problem?

EcoPure Network. We are working to promote both EcoPure and it’s users. We’ll partner with our branding members on marketing strategies. We’ll have a blog group with daily updates of Press releases. Our partners will obtain first rights to new products and services.

Consumer Outreach: Our goal is to make EcoPure a household name, so that consumers will reach for the product they know is environmentally friendly. Among other things, we’re developing an iphone application that will allow consumers to calculate their waste and how much biodegradation has taken place over time. They’ll be able to see how much methane that waste has created and how much energy it can create to help lower our dependence on other energy forms.

EcoPure Training: Your sales reps and potential clients will be invited to our live online presentations where marketing and technical questions can be asked and answered. We’re also developing information portals and will make recorded webcasts available.

EcoPure Logistics: We are so setting up warehouse space in Hong Kong for branding customers to service our Asian market. As with shipments from the U.S., both 25kg boxes and 700kg gaylords will be available.

How Do You Sign Up?It’s easy to join our branding program.

First, you agree to use EcoPure!

Next, you agree to have your product tested in the independent lab we use. (The lab will conduct what’s called an ASTM D5511 test to validate biodegradation of the material. The lab will also find the lowest concentration of EcoPure you can use and still get it’s benefit. See Tech Talk at the back of this brochure for more details).

Finally, you show the EcoPure logo prominently on your product and/or its packaging.

Of course, there are few agreements and contracts to sign, but that’s it!
