Logo Placement GuidelinesHere are basic guidelines and examples of how to appropriately place the MarketResearch.com logo in various situations. For examples of misuse, see the next page. Note: Within these guidelines, the logo is occasionally displayed within a rectangular box. This treatment is for display purposes only. Avoid placing the logo within any shape.

Color PositiveThe color positive version of the logo is for use on white and light backgrounds.

Clearance SpaceThe clearance space around the MarketResearch.com logo is to ensure its visibility and impact, consistent with our brand identity. The clearance space is determined by the height of the symbol (X). Do not place graphic elements in the clearance zone nor should the margin of a document violate the clearance space.

Vertical LogoIn a design space where the height is twice the width and is strongly vertical, use the vertical version of the logo.

Minimum Logo SizeThe minimum logo size is the smallest possible reduction in which the logo is still legible. Do not shrink the width of the logo to less than 1.4 inches/3.5 millimeters, or 100 pixels at 72 DPI (standard web graphics resolution).

One-Color PositiveThe one-color positive version of the logo is for use on white or light backgrounds when color printing is not available.

Color ReverseThe color reverse version of the logo is for use on black and dark backgrounds.

11MARKETRESEARCH.COM | TYPOGRAPHY

Typography GuidelinesWhen preparing any document, please obey the following typographic principles:• Set all type flush left, ragged right.• Do not center any text except in graphics and CTAs (calls-to-action).• Do not right justify any text.• Always leave one full line space between paragraphs.• Do not underline text or set type as all capital letters. Instead, use italics or boldface for emphasis.

Keep in mind that italicized and boldface copy is significantly more effective when used sparingly.• Avoid the use of indentations. Use bullets sparingly. When bullets are needed, select those that are

round and filled in.• Try to “hang” your bullets as shown. Hanging bullets create an even, flush-left text line that enhances

legibility.• Set all type in upper and lower case. Avoid the use of all upper case letters. A typeface loses

readability when used in all capitals.• On one page, do not use more than three font families.• For most applications, all type is reproduced in black, MRDC Blue, Corporate Gray, or white. Other

text colors should be used sparingly and with ease of legibility in mind.• Headlines should be executed in a single color.

Writing Style“Ebook” is written with the first letter capitalized at the beginning of a sentence or in titles, and all lower-cased in all other instances. A hyphen is not used.“Ebooks are informative.”“Will you share the ebook link with me?”“New Ebooks Now Available”

15MARKETRESEARCH.COM | COLOR

ColorMRDC Blue is the primary color of the MarketResearch.com brand. A secondary color palette is available to compliment the primary color. The basic concept of the color system is to emphasize only the most important messages, whereas all other elements should be “played down.” The secondary palette may be used to accent or highlight different programs or messages. While it may be tempting to emphasize elements by using many colors, the overall impact of the brand should always be considered. Experience has shown that it is best to use a limited number of colors and only if it serves to support the message.
