The new Riverdale Grade School has been designed in a classical style to honor Riverdale’s history while facing the future in a sustainable manner.

The two-story classroom building consists of 24 light filled classrooms paired with smaller

group work areas. This arrangement of instructional spaces provides visual and spatial relief

for the corridor and connects learning to location.

The central entry hall is designed to showcase student work, community history and to

connect and unify the two floors of the building.

1Donate unwanted bicycles that may be crowding the garage, as

well as supporting the service efforts of Riverdale students. When

you donate a bike you make it a tool for empowerment and a

vehicle for change! The professional mechanics at the Community

Cycling Center refurbish it and direct it to bike safety programs

for financially restricted adults and youth. These programs include

after school and Create-A-Commuter programs. All donations are

tax deductible.

This is a community event staffed by Riverdale Grade School and

Riverdale High School Leadership students. When you arrive

to donate, volunteers will unload your car, give you a receipt for

tax purposes, and prepare the bike for transport. All bikes are

welcome old and new, child and adult. We encourage community

members to stop in for refreshments and to learn more about the

Community Cycling Center.

If you cannot transport your bike to the Grade School, please

email [email protected] to arrange a bike pick-up.
