A common premise during one particular area era of science fiction movies was that radiation somehow altered biological processes, transforming normal human being into superhumans—some good and some evil. One such example is the Incredible Hulk, who, through a laboratory accident, developed superhuman strength that manifested itself when he was angry (you wouldn’t like him when he was angry…). Your task in this exercise is to create a superhero by pretending that it is possible to magnify or diminish the abilities governed by specific regions of the human brain. You need to do the following: 1) Identify the area of the brain that would have to be altered 2) Describe the super-ability that the superhero possesses because of this brain alteration 3) Create a simple story line in which the special ability would be useful. 4) Illustrate a 3-5 panel comic strip of the superhero saving the day (stick figures are OK…) You will present your superhero to the class. Brain Superheroes

Science fiction writers are always searching for good ideas for plots that will capture the interest of their readers.
