1. Click on the Start button to pull up the Windows Start menu
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Click on Network and Internet
4. Click on Network and Sharing Center

5. Under the Change your networking settings category, click on Set up a new connection or network
6. Click on Manually connect to a wireless network to highlight it.
a. Click on Next to continue

7. Enter the following information for the wireless network
a. For Network name, enter BPC Students
b. For Security Type, choose WPA2-Enterprise (If WPA2-Enterprise is not available, then use WPA-
Enterprise with Encryption type TKIP)
c. For Encryption Type, choose AES
d. Leave the Security Key text field box blank
e. Start connection automatically should be check-marked
f. Connect even if the network is not broadcasting should not be check-marked
g. Click Next to continue
8. Click Change connection settings on the next screen

9. On The BPC Students Network Properties window, Click the Security tab.
10. On the Security Tab, click Settings
11. On the Protected EAP Properties window:
a. Uncheck the option Validate server certificate
b. Click the Configure button

12. On the EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties window:
a. Uncheck the option Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if
any).
b. Click on OK
13. Click OK to close the Protected EAP Properties window

14. Click on Advanced Settings on the BPC Students Wireless Network Properties window
15. On the Advanced Settings tab:
a. Place a check mark next to the option Specify authentication mode
b. Change the drop-down menu to User Authentication
c. Click on Save Credentials

16. In the Windows Security pop-up window, enter your student number and your password
a. Click on OK
17. Click OK to close the BPC Students Wireless Network Properties window
